A Masterstroke Movie - Twelve Angry Men 1957 Reviewed
Twelve Angry Men was released in 1957 and I watched this movie a few days back.
The story is about an 18-year-old boy who has been caught murdering his father and he leaves behind enough evidence to prove that he is guilty. Now it is up to the 12 jury members to decide whether he is guilty or not. What an interesting plot it is? Isn't it?
I mean that if the above-mentioned plot detail does not excites you enough, then nothing will. Just by reading this, I would have gone crazy over watching the film because it would be really interesting to see how a jury, where numerous people with different opinions and characters, would react to such a situation where they have to come up with an unanimous decision. Whoever thought of such a concept and executing it without a flaw deserves a standing ovation.
There is voting done by the juries and many things which will make your mind puzzle. The court proceedings in this movie are really awesome to watch. It shows how different minds work in different directions to come up to one single conclusion. This movie is meant for critical thinking class.
Every small detail of the story is covered up with so much enthusiasm that you get totally involved with the proceedings.
I know everyone still needs time to get out from the experience which Dark Knight provided but if you have time, please do catch this Sidney Lumet directed film. Its really worth watching..........
A masterstroke in storytelling and writing. Great movie.
