Memorable Disney Quotes
Memories and Messages
A lot of people grew up with Disney, and the inspirational messages in-bedded within them, I'm sure, affected a great many of our lives. This hub is a little bit of my tribute to the magic of Disney, by sharing with all of you some of the best quotes that have really change a 'Great Movie' into a Memory for all Time.
Snow White
Evil Queen: Magic Mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?
Who doesn't automatically think of this when they think of Snow White? Probably one of the most famous lines in the movie, and the most well known as well.
Grumpy: Angel, ha! She's a female! And all females is poison! They're full of wicked wiles!
Bashful: What are wicked wiles?
Grumpy: I don't know, but I'm agin' 'em.
Well, it seems Grumpy knew more of the world then the little children watching him complain about it. Though I doubt most of the little girls watching Snow White would understand what 'Wicked wiles' were, looking back on it now I can laugh fondly.
Snow White: I'm wishing for the one I love to find me today. I'm hoping and dreaming of the nice things he'll say.
Hercules
Zeus: A hero is not measured by the size of his strength, but the strength of his heart.
Moral of the film
Hercules: I know every mile, will be worth my while. When I go the distance I'll be right where I belong.
Phil: Giving up is for rookies.
Hercules: You know, wh-when I was a kid, I-I would have given anything to be exactly like everybody else.
Meg: You wanted to be petty and dishonest?
Hercules: Everybody's not like that.
Meg: Yes, they are.
This quote really did serve to show the darker side of humanity, didn't it?
[Hercules starts toward the Cyclops]
Meg: What are you doing? Without your strength, you'll be killed!
Hercules: There are worse things.
Hercules: I try to fit in. I really do. I just can't. Sometimes I feel like...like I don't belong here.
Hercules; Go the Distance
The Little Mermaid
Sebastian: Ariel, please! Will you get your head out of the clouds and back in the water where it belongs?
Sebastian: You got your own style, now let it come through. And remember no matter what, you got to be you
Basically the crux of the whole movie, to be who you are inside, whoever that may be.
Ursula: A woman doesn't know how precious her voice is until she's been silenced
Sebastian: The seaweed is always greener in somebody else's lake
A retake on 'The Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence', but suitably more appropriate.
Ursula: Come in. Come in, my child. We mustn't lurk in doorways. It's rude. One might question your upbringing.
Beauty and the Beast
Gaston: How can you read this? There's no pictures!
Belle: Well, some people use their imagination.
Beast: I want to do something for her... but what?
Cogsworth: Well, there's the usual things: flowers... chocolates... promises you don't intend to keep...
Villagers: We don't like what we don't understand, in fact it scares us, and this monster is mysterious at least...
The absolute way of the world. People are afraid of what they don't understand, they are afraid of what is different.
Belle: And for once it might be grand to have someone understand. I want so much more than they've got planned.
Belle wasn't just beautiful, she was smart and knew what she wanted.
Gaston: Lefou, I'm afraid I've been thinking...
Lefou: A dangerous pastime
Gaston: I know.
101 Dalmations
Cruella De Vil: Then we'll settle for half a dozen! We can't wait! The police are everywhere. I want the job done tonight!
Horace: How're we gonna do it?
Cruella De Vil: Any way you like. Poison them. Drown them. Bash them in the head. You got any chloroform?
Jasper: Not a drop.
Cruella De Vill was perhaps one of the most confronting Disney Villains and her lines here show perfect why.
Robin Hood
Robin Hood: Keep your chin up, someday there will be happiness again.
Clucky: Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Marian: Or forgetful.
Sis: Oh, he's so handsome... just like his reward posters.
Little John: You know somethin', Robin. I was just wonderin', are we good guys or bad guys? You know, I mean, uh? Our robbin' the rich to feed the poor.
Robin Hood: Rob? Tsk tsk tsk. That's a naughty word. We never rob. We just sort of borrow a bit from those who can afford it.
Little John: Borrow? Boy, are we in debt.
Well, at least he is questioning himself. That shows morals of a sort.
Robin Hood: Faint hearts never won fair lady.
Sleeping Beauty
Aurora: I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you, that gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam; and I know it's true that visions are seldom what they seem, but if I know you, I know what you'll do, you'll love me at once, the way you did once, upon a dream.
Aurora: They say if you dream a thing more than once, it’s sure to come true.
Cinderella
Cinderella: A dream is a wish your heart makes when you're fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for, you keep. Have faith in your dreams, and someday, your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dreams that you wish will come true.
One of the most loved Disney songs, mainly for its beautiful and true lyrics.
Cinderella: Well there's one thing. They can't order me to stop dreaming.
Fairy God Mother: Even miracles take a little time.
Patience is a virtue

Prejudice, discrimination, racism, this can be anything and all. A powerful and true message.
John Smith: I'd rather die tomorrow than live a hundred years without knowing you.
Simple, yet achingly beautiful and elegant
Pocahontas: You think you own whatever land you land on. The earth is just a dead thing you can claim. But I know every rock and tree and creature, has a life, has a spirit, has a name.
Grandmother Willow: Sometimes the right path is not the easiest one.
Powhatan: You must choose your own path
Lilo and Stitch
Lilo: Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten.
Stitch: This is my family. I found it, all on my own. It’s little, and broken, but still good. Yeah, still good.
Lion King
Scar: I'm surrounded by idiots.
Rafiki: The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.
Life lesson. Resounding idea behind Lion King. Also present in the sequel.
Mufasa: You see simba. Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance. As king you need to understand that balance and respect all animals, from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope. Simba- but dad don't we eat the antelope? Mufasa- Yes, Simba let me explain. When we die our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great circle of life.
Simple beautiful
Timon and Pumba: Hakuna Matata. What a wonderful phrase. Hakuna Matata, ain't no passing craze. It means no worries, for the rest of your days. It's our problem free, philosophy! Hakuna Matata.
The one song that every child had to learn
Timon: You got to put your past behind you
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Gargoyle: Take it from an old spectator. Life's not a spectator sport. If watchin' is all you're gonna do, then you're gonna watch your life go by without ya.
Mulan
Mulan: Maybe I just wanted to look in the mirror and see someone worthwhile... But I was wrong... I see nothing!
Emperor: The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.
Mulan: Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me? Why is my reflection someone I don't know? Somehow I cannot hide, who I am, though I try. When will my reflection show, who I am, inside?
Fa Zhou: My, my, what beautiful blossoms we have this year. But look, this one's late! I bet when it blooms, it will be most beautiful of all
Emperor: You don't meet a girl like that every dynasty.
Mulan: Reflect before you act.
Mulan: Now I see, that if I were truly to be myself, I would break my family's heart.
Mulan; Reflection
Peter Pan
Peter Pan: All it takes is Faith and Trust
Peter Pan: When there's a smile in your heart, there's no better time to start.
Chorus: Think of all the joy you'll find, when you leave the world behind.
Mermaid: We were only trying to drown her
Aladdin
Aladdin: You should be free to make your own choices
Merchant: Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it is not what outside, but what is inside that counts
Aladdin: Let me share this whole new world with you
Jasmine: I'm like a shooting star, I've come so far. I can't go back to where I used to be.
Tarzan

Tantor: Are you sure this water's sanitary? It's looks questionable to me.
Jane: Well, it can't get any worse, can it?
Tantor: That's it! I've had it with you and your emotional constipation!
Phil Collins: I wanna know, can you show me? I wanna know bout the strangers like me.
