My Blood Runs Like the Colors of the Flag... Red, White, and Blue
It's time to show our faith in America,
where our enemies shall fear to tread,
We must stand strong, in our song,
for in our history, great words are read.
Refrain
Don't ask if we love our county, so well,
And if we're all willing to fight and to perish.
We'll bleed the blood of the American flag,
The red, white and blue, we all so cherish.
In old Iraq and over in Afghanistan,
so many brave soldiers have all bled and died,
The world must know, then our strength to show,
the power given, in our pride.
On the Common at Boston town, we fought,
there in woodlands, and upon wide fields,
For sake of liberty, marching under our flag of truth,
Where our eagle never yields.
Refrain: Don't ask if we love our country.....
On many foreign shores, where the cannon roars,
we came there to save the day,
No greater gift, was given, our own lives there,
and for anothers, is our only way.
Down through the ages, is read on the pages,
a story of struggle, and of great sacrifice,
America's wonderful account is so recorded,
to be purchased by such a terrible price.
Refrain:
Don't ask if we love our country, so well,
and if we we're all willing to fight and to perish,
We'll bleed the blood of the American flag,
the red, white, and blue, we each so cherish.
With our one great nation, under God,
and by the Statue of Liberty, we shall all stand,
We will never leave, nor ever conceive,
in relinquishing our devotion to Her, so grand.
The spirit of the free, soars in the wind,
over the lands, and the home of all the brave,
No finer country to be found, than on our ground,
and this our God, shall forever, save.
Refrain: Don't ask if we love our country,so well,
And if we're all willing to fight and to perish.
We'll bleed the blood of the American flag,
The red, white, and blue, we each so cherish.
