Check out why"Saban" Moon and Doozybots are promos not to be seen by American eyes!
"Saban" Moon and Doozybots
Interesting topic that I wanna talk about. Hmm, so you take two animes that are both well known and respected and turn them into mush. Ok, let me start this off by saying a simple..whyyy????? lol.
Saban Moon bka the American version of Sailor Moon was formed in early 93, and a promo was made to show a tv show with a U.S. style that featured 5 girls *just like the sailor senshis in the Japanese version*, and they made it sooo cheesy. I am very glad that this did not come to surface. First off, why mess up something so good from the start. I understand they are trying to appeal to an American market - that's all well and good, but the thing is...the origin is not American, it's Japanese. 2nd of all, America already gets chastised for having horrible dub actors to voice the original characters. Why make it worse? All I'm saying is this....why ruin something or try to change something that's already great by itself.
The same with Doozybots. It's not about some teenagers that turn into little robots. C'mon, really? There's a much deeper message than that. This whole idea of a preppy, suburban high school kids type of show is completely whack. I mean, Gundam is the way it is for a reason. It's raw, uncut and has a lot of hidden messages. I mean, anime is not just for kids - not even talking about the violence, but the messages. A lot of different issues are brought to the table like honor, integrity, etc. That's why I can't stand how America messes things up that are fine just from the start.
The videos I'm about to show are extremely hilarious in my opinion. These were both released in the early 90's, and you can see where I'm coming from with this. lolol.
Enjoy =P
