Standing Between Marilyn Monroe's Legs and Glancing Up in Chicago
A new giant Marilyn Monroe statue debuted in Chicago. It is the famous scene from the movie, The Seven Year Itch, where she stands over a ground vent and air pushes her dress up in one of the most provocative poses ever on film-even today. The statute is 26 feet tall and weighs 17 tons and located on Michigan Ave. Hundreds of visitors partake in posing with the sex goddess, which for a statue, is life-like. Of course, Marilyn still yields that sexy hammer over men and suffice to say, guys will pose between her legs grinning the biggest grin and glance up to see her laced underwear. Little girls and boys stand on her feet.
Marilyn took three days to assemble and two years to create. Women view the statue in mostly negative terms, while guys, well, what guy does not like Marilyn, even though she died in 1962. Regardless, hundreds of visitors take a pose with the legend.
