Theo James

Theo James was born as Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis on December 16, 1984 in Oxford, Osfordshire England. James is the youngest of five children. He has two older brothers and two older sisters. Theo attained his education at Aylesbury Grammar School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nottingham in Philosophy. After receiving his degree in philosophy, James went on to be trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

James starting acting a little later than some other actors. It wasn't something he pursued his entire childhood, Theo instead became involved in acting when he was in his late twenties. James's first acting role would be on television. James appeared in A Passionate Woman, which also starred Billie Piper. Theo continued his television career with a small role on an episode of Downtown Abbey during it first season. After starring on two previous television series he went on to land the lead role in the television series Bedlam in 2011.

Soon James appeared in the adaptation to John Braine's novel Room At the Top. More of James's film credits include You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, The Inbetweeners Movie, Underworld: The Awakening, The Domino Effect, and finally his ground breaking role that shot him to a-list material Divergent.

James landing one of the lead parts in the highly anticipated film adaptation of Veronica Roth's Divergent books. Theo won the part of Tobias "Four" Eaton and instantly became a household name and a swoon worthy leading man. Divergent went on to make more than $274 million dollars at the box office and two more movies are inn the making, which James will star in.

Theo has a few up and coming movies that audiences should keep their eyes out for. In addition to the Divergent movies, James also has the movie London Fields and Franny. The two movies will place James next to actors such as Richard Gere, Dakota Fanning, Billy Bob Thornton, and Amber Heard.

Prior to making it big in the acting world, James was the singer and guitarist in the London based band Shere Khan. However, the band has since dispersed and the members are all pursuing their own endeavors.
