The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Encompassing the sidewalks of Hollywood Blvd. from Gower St. to LaBrea Ave. and Vine Street between Sunset Blvd. and Yucca St., the Hollywood Walk of Fame delights movie, recording and broadcasting fans from around the world.

There are approximately 4000 stars on The Hollywood Walk Of Fame on 22 blocks of Hollywood Blvd. and 4 blocks of Vine St. When you're in Hollywood you want to walk as much of it as you can find the time and energy to. It can be fun to find your favorite celebrities' stars.

Theoretically YOU could get a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame!

But first you have to be a celebrity for a minimum of five years in at least one of these five fields of entertainment: movies, TV, radio, the recording industry and the stage. Next, someone (and it can be anyone!) needs to nominate you for a star. Nominations are considered by a committee of 60 entertainment professionals. The personnel of this committee changes from time to time. Lastly, should you be approved for a star, a donation of $30,000 must be made to The Hollywood Camber of Commerce for the manufacture of the star, it's placement on The Hollywood Walk of Fame and your award ceremony.
