Stop Mealtime Boredom...Help with Dinner Planning!
Last year, I realized I was cooking the same meals over and over again. While sticking to familiar recipes is comforting on some level, the repetitiveness causes home chefs to develop a "cooking block." I lose interest in cooking when this happens and tend to spend more money eating out. This is one of my favorite lists because it helps me avoid a rut. Assuming a calendar month of 30 days, each day offers a different menu option. Print the list, then check off the meals that you have made during the month. Use new recipes to spice up your dinners. For instance, chili night offers a number of options, such as White Bean Chicken Chili, Three Bean Vegetarian Chili or Traditional Texas Chili. I keep a notebook to keep track of recipes I have prepared so I do not repeat the same recipes each month. Please note, we have a grill night and a meat and 2 veggies night each week, and I always make a Main Dish Salad twice a month.
