2 super turkey burger recipes
Both recipes can be interchanged for meatloaf style as well.
Recipe 1: need- 3 lbs of ground turkey (I prefer Shady Brook 85/15), olive oil, any kind of bread crumbs (i like and sometimes switch between panko as well), water is optional and 2 packets of McCormicks au jus seasoning.
Prepare/mix- ground turkey, 2 packets, 1/8-1/5 cup of olive oil, 3/4 cup of bread crumbs and optional no more than 1/2 of cold water. Best to mix it with hands so all the ingredients are flush/blended well.
Cooking- can use various ways and meat proportions. I will conform to the oven methods. If toaster oven, since its smaller and won't fit all of it it can be broken down to 1/3 each or just cook that portion and save the rest for later. Put meat onto the plate (can put a sheet of foil on bottom & edges), smooth it out to the same height and to the width of the plate, then cook. 300 degrees is ideal for 35 minutes. If a smaller portion is used then it can also be cooked up the 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. For a regular oven since there is more space it will take longer. Prefer to pre-heat oven for 2 minutes at 350 degrees and put all the meat in a container and let it cook for 45-60 minutes. Afterwards pull out and ready to serve.
Recipe 2: need- 3 lbs ground turkey, olive oil & water optional, any bread crumbs and KC Masterpiece Caribbean Jerk marinade.
Prepare/mix- ground turkey, 3/4 bread crumbs and 1 cup of the marinade. If use olive oil 1/8 cup and or cold water 1/4 cup. blend until ingredients is even.
Cooking- same as recipe 1.
All of these can be served as burgers, over noodles or rice, chopped up and stir fried mixed with vegetables and so on. It has many applications.
