5 Minute Hummus
Hummus has got to be one of my absolute favorite snacks. I love the simpleness of this recipe. Prepared with chickpeas or garbanzo beans this yummy hummus dip makes for a great healthy snack or appetizer. Feel free to add extra flavors such as peppers, garlic or olive oil. You'll have absolutely no problem finishing it.
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 1/2 cups canned garbanzo beans, rinsed
- 1 1/2 tbsp. fresh parsley
- 1 tsp. cumin
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- In a blender, mix all ingredients (including your extras) until desired consistency is obtained. Chill and serve cold with pita or tortilla chips.
