Chocolate Muffins With a Twist
My chocolate muffins are such an easy, simple recipe that are so delicious, once you have made them you will find it difficult to go back to normal muffins on their own. Whats great about my special chocolate muffin recipe is that there is minimal cooking involved.
1. Firstly get some melting chocolate and break into squares, pop the squares into a bowl ready to melt. You can either boil a pan of water and put the bowl over the top of the pan to melt the chocolate or alternatively you can put into the microwave for a couple of minutes to melt.
2. Take your chocolate muffin or muffins (if you are spoiling someone else too) and just scoop out a small hole (about a teaspoon size) in the top of the muffin but make sure its quite deep. Discard the scooped out, left over muffin or eat it, I tend to eat it.
3. Take your favourite ice cream out of the freezer, I find that vanilla ice cream tastes the best with this recipe and put one or two scoops into the hole in the muffin.
4. Get your melted chocolate and pour it all over the muffin and ice cream. I find that if you make sure you muffin is on a plate as it can get slightly messy.
This is by far one of the easiest recipes I know and its a great way to jazz up a muffin as a special treat or if you just fancy it. The great thing about this recipe also is that you can mix it up by using different flavours of muffins, ice cream and chocolate. Enjoy!
