Delicious K-Cup Coffees for Keurig Brewers

Updated on September 10, 2009

If you're like me you probably enjoy some diversity in your coffee drinking routine. I usually can't sit still through an entire bag of gourmet coffee. One of the pretty amazing characteristics of Keurig brewers is that they allow coffee drinkers to chose a new blend, flavor, or roast with each cup, which means you can have a different kind of coffee each time! But with the selection of over 200 drinks offered by Keurig, how do you even begin to choose? Here's a list of the most popular reviewed and loved K-Cups.

K-Cups and Keurig Brewers

But first, what are K-Cups and Keurig Brewers? Keurig brewers are nifty little brewers that offer efficient tasty coffee. Beyond the sheer ingenuity of a brewer that makes quick and easy fresh coffee cup by cup, Keurig brewers offer a great selection of coffees, teas, and hot cocoas. K-Cups are the prepackaged cups of freshly ground coffee that is inserted into your Keurig brewers.

Best Flavored Coffee K-Cup

Green Mountain Hazelnut Coffee and Green Mountain Mocha Nut Fudge Coffee are two of the best tasting flavored K-Cup coffees. If you're a fan of sweet, nutty chocolate flavors, then hold on to your socks because these two coffees will amaze and delight you. Hazelnut Coffee offers a silky, buttery, deliciously warm and nutty flavor and Mocha Nut Fudge Coffee is rich, full bodied coffee that is sweetened with caramel. These two coffees taste like gourmet coffees straight from a café!

Other fun favorites within the flavored coffee category are Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice Coffee and Green Mountain Perfect Peach Coffee! Have you ever tried adding a flavored shot into your coffee? Well this is even better than that. The flavors are infused so evenly into the coffee so that the original robust flavors of the coffee are enhanced, and not covered up. If you're a fan of flavor, these K-Cup choices are bound to be a treat!

Best Fair-trade Coffee K-Cup

If you like coffee with a conscience, Green Mountain creates a lot of tasty fair-trade coffees for K-Cups. While there's a great selection to choose from, Green Mountain National Wildlife Blend coffee is quite popular and readily available for discount prices.

Best Decaffeinated Coffee for K-Cup

Great Mountain and Caribou Coffee offer tasty decaffeinated coffees. Though I'm not a decaf drinker, both these brands make awesome blends and roasts. So a decaffeinated coffee from these brands are bound to taste amazing! And if you're like me, you love a splash of flavor. Keurig also provides a selection of decaffeinated coffees with flavor. If I drank decaf my first pick would be Green Mountain French Vanilla Decaffeinated Coffee.

Best Tea for K-Cup

As I've been saying, I'm a fan of flavor. Keurig's K-Cups not only offers great basic drinks like plain black tea or the classic Earl Grey tea, but also offers fun favorites like Celestial Seasonings Indian Spice Chai Tea. I'm a huge chai drinker, and this chai tea is superb. If I just brew this chai, I can drink it as it is or change it up whenever I fancy. This K-Cup chai tea is amazing hot or with a little bit of cream, ice and sugar as well! Like any other drink from a Keurig brewer, you can take it hot, cold, straight or sweet.

Best Cocoa for K-Cup

Hot cocoa is always a hot drink favorite, and milk chocolate is the most popular cocoa flavor. Green Mountain Hot Cocoa is a milk chocolate blend that has found a huge following. If you like variety, K-Cups also offers cocoas in different flavors. White chocolate and dark chocolate cocoas are a great novelty to the average cocoa drink.

Final Verdict on K-Cup Variety

Keurig offers everything from coffee to cocoa. Within the realm of coffee, Keurig's K-Cups boasts a wide selection of basic blends to some creative, flavored blends. Have you sampled a cup of coffee from Keurig recently? What's your most favorite K-Cup?
