Faye's fancy candied yams or sweet potates"

Ingredients:

4 or 5 medium to large sweet potatoes or yams

1 stick butter

1/2 cup light brown sugar( packed ). 

1 cup white suagr

2 dashes salt

1/2 cinnamon

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2 1/2 cup water ( to cook potatoes 0.

1 cup marshmellow cream

1/2 cup pecan pieces

Direction to prepare:

Peel,  quarter and wash potatoes place in pot with 2 1/2 cups  water and turn on medium heat and cooked until semi- soft. pour off all water except for about a cup. add sugar salt, spices butter, flavor  and let cook for about 15 minutes,without lid then add marshmellow cream and pecans and let cook until cream is about melted. turn off fire and serve with you favorite dish. this is a recipe to keep handy to share with your relatives and friends. This a holiday treat that you don't have to cook on holidays. It's so good you will want to fix with ever thing.
