How To Make Korean Pancakes
Introduction
I have a simple and easy recipe for Korean pancakes. It only takes about 40 minutes and they are delicious. I got the idea from visiting Trader Joe's. They sell one in their frozen foods section.
-July 2015
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- bundle of leek
- 4 stems of scallion
- 3 medium size carrots
- 1 cup of flour
- 3/4 cup of water
- salt
- cooking oil
How to Make It?
Chop leek and scallions into 1/4 inches. Shred the carrots. Mix all ingredients (eggs, leek, scallion, carrots, flour, water salt) in a large bowl. Mix with a large spoon.
Frying
Heat frying pan with corn oil or vegetable oil. Use medium heat. Spoon a large spoonful of mixture onto hot pan, wait a few minutes and then turn over. A few minutes on each side is all it takes to brown. Place on a plate with paper towel to soak up the extra oil. Voila! you are done.
Summary
A batch will make approximately 5 or 6 pancakes around 5" in diameter. If you can't finish, you can always freeze them and reheat at a later date. It will make a quick and easy breakfast treat. Enjoy.
