How to Make Homemade Caramel Sauce

If you are a caramel lover, than you must try this recipe ! It is so easy, and very good. You just store it in jars in your fridge when done. This is also a really great gift idea, especially around the holidays.

Ingredients:

3 cups of milk

3 cups of sucanat

2 tablespoons of arrowroot powder or cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon of baking soda

You want to use a 4 quart sauce pan or larger, in it add 1 cup of the milk, baking soda, and cornstarch, mix well. Now add the remaining sucanat and milk, bring to a boil stirring continually. Just cook it until it thickens to the consistency of caramel sauce. That's it, just store in your jars !
