Italian Pinwheels Recipe / A wonderful and easy appetizer for parties!
Looking for a quick and easy recipe that is sure to please just about everyone? This is it. I guarantee that you will repeat it several times over and people will ask you for the recipe. A simple trip to the deli, dry goods section and dairy are all it takes to make these delicious appetizers. Whether it's a party, family gathering, road rally or just because, these are great items to add to your planning.
Here's what you'll need:
Ingredients
From the deli: 1 pound salami, 1 pound Capicola, 1 pound hot ham.
From the dairy: 2 pkgs cream cheese (soften this)
From dry goods: 1 pkg flour tortillas (any size is fine), 1 pkg Good Seasons Italian Dressing (dry mix), 1 bottle of McCormack Salad Supreme
Optional: Onions, chopped small
Step One:
Place both packages of softened cream cheese into a mixing bowl and add the package of Italian Dressing mix. Shake Salad Supreme into the mixture to your liking. Mix well. If you've opted to add onion to your wraps, add it to the cream cheese mixture.
Step 2:
Spread the cream cheese onto a flour tortilla from edge to edge. It does not have to be too thick. Remember that you will be wrapping these and have several layers of ingredients.
Step 3:
Add your meat. Note: Use as little or as much meat as you wish.
Step 4:
Step 5:
Continue wrapping until all ingredients are gone. I can usually get 10 of the large tortillas from this recipe. If there are extra meats and cheese you can also wrap them without the tortillas. Cover your wraps and refrigerate them for at least an hour or so. You can also make them ahead and refrigerate overnight if you desire.
Step 6:
Cut into pieces making pinwheels and serve. Use your discretion as to how thick or thin you want them sliced. Warning: People will love them, make sure you've made a double batch and keep one for yourself later!
