Megans Sardine Pasta
Quick and easy to make.My daughter suggested this recipe one night while i was cooking.wasn't sure at first,but gave it a try.
Ingredients
1 packet of pasta(any type) 400g
salt and pepper
1 Teaspoon Oregano
1 Teaspoon Basil
1 Teaspoon Paprika
1 Teaspoon Chillie powder.
Preparation
step 1-very simple to make,add all herbs and spices in a bowl,mix well.
step 2-cook pasta as per guidelines on packet.
step 3-once pasta is cooked spoon over two or three tablespoons olive oil.
step 4-pour in herbs and spices, mix well. serve immediately as it cools very quickly
This pasta dish can be re-heated,i usually use the microwave to do so.heats up in roughly one minute,that's an average portion of pasta for one person.
Costs for Ingredients
1 or 2-450 g packets of pasta, basic stuff 39 pence.
1- 210g tin sardines(with or without tomato sauce) 49 pence.
1 onion (medium) if required 10 pence.
Great summer dish out the backdoor.
me and my kids had this dish a few times out the back garden in the summer,served up with salad and grated cheese for the top,it's truly tasty.
Can't go wrong.
after trying,even if it's not to your taste,it's only a couple of pounds wasted.its not like shelling out for a dinner party expense.
Healthy as well.
