Creamed Potatoes
I don't know about you but I have a true love for potatoes for many reasons the main reason is there are so many ways to prepare them plus they are Soooo good ....So today I'm going to share with you two of my favorite ways to prepare potatoes.
The first way I like to prepare them is to just make a simple cream sauce with a few ingredients to enhanced the flavors with that being said let the coking begin.
Creamed Potatoes
Ingredients
4 large potatoes
2 tablespoons grated onion
1 small clove garlic, mashed (optional)
Sea Salt,White pepper to taste
1-11/2 cups heavy cream
Fresh parsley chopped
Methods
Peel the potatoes and and rough chop them, squeeze out liquid. Put the potatoes in the top of a double boiler. Beat in the onion, garlic, sea salt, white pepper, and 1 cup of the heavy cream.
Cook the potatoes, covered, over boiling water until the potatoes are tender and the mixture has thickened, Stir frequently.
Since some types of potato absorb more moisture, it may be necessary to add another 1/2 cup of cream, a little at a time, to get the desired consistency Turn into a serving dish and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and Serve and enjoy.
Gratin of Potatoes
My second potato dish is a classic that is a staple in my house hold and that is the gratin of potatoes they are really super simple to make and the flavors are so good and one of the great things is that it pairs with almost type of protein so come on and try the recipe with me.
