Kroger had so nice looking broccoli that was on sale for 99cents a pound so I went crazy and brought 10 pounds I figured I could use most of it tomorrow but today I decided to make me and the family a light but tasty broccoli salad.

Tasty Broccoli Salad

This afternoon I went out to Kroger supermarket to pick up some last minutes items for the 4th of July B.B. Q we are having tomorrow and while I was there Kroger had so nice looking broccoli that was on sale for 99cents a pound so I went crazy and brought 10 pounds I figured I could use most of it tomorrow but today I decided to make me and the family a light but tasty broccoli salad so we can save room for the food that’s coming on the 4th of July.

Broccoli Salad

Ingredients

2 packages of broccoli florets

1/2 cup of red onion, thinly sliced

1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded

8 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled

1/2 cup of sunflower seeds

1/3 cup dried cranberries

1/2 cup of regular raisins and golden raisins mixed

Dressing

1 cup of mayonnaise

2 tablespoon of red wine vinegar

1/4 cup of sugar

1/2 teaspoon of salt

Methods

Combine all salad ingredients. Mix thoroughly; refrigerate. Meanwhile, mix all dressing ingredients together until sugar is completely dissolved. Toss dressing and salad then place it in the refrigerator to get cold for about 45 minutes then serve and enjoy.
