What is in Chick Fil-A? Chick Fil-A Ingredient List: Toxic Euphoria. Aluminum Anyone? MSG: Check. Butane derivatives: Ok

Updated on May 15, 2013

Warning: Eat More Chemicals?

I know. It tastes good. There is a reason why people line up for a Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich, rather 100 different reasons. Most of you die-hards probably think that your favorite fast food is simple, fresh and healthy. You couldn’t be more wrong. You also probably think your sandwich only has the obvious ingredients: bun, chicken, cheese, pickles, maybe a sauce or two. Keep going, you have about 97 more ingredients to add until you realize that there is a reason why you like that sandwich so much. I call it euphoric toxicity.

You see, when you ingest chemicals (aka, drugs) that are derivatives of toxins, you’re body and brain sends a different set of messages and signals than say, eating a real, just chicken, piece of chicken. And your body remembers those happy firings. Just like the first time you got high, or had your first beer, or how thought of happy hour can make you salivate and thirsty, or how seeing an attractive person can make you, um…aroused, the same chemical firings happen with your brain when stimulated by the thought and taste of that toxic, albeit delicious chicken sandwich.

While I’m not trying to say, stay away, because lets face it, people do what they want to do, especially when they like doing it even if it can be proven to kill you: smoking, drugs, drinking, and on and on, what I am trying to say is that you should educate yourself. Do you ever stop and think, why? Why do you love it so much? Let me count the ways, or show you the reasons you love it:

Keep it Simple: Bread & Chicken?

If you’re buying Chick-Fil-A, because you just love chicken sandwiches, why not make them at home? There is a reason why you aren’t making your chicken sandwich at home, it’s because if you tried to replicate Chick-fil-A, like me, you’d get buns, chicken breast, maybe some toppings, sauces and some breading to fry it. You’ll go through the motions only to find, it doesn’t taste remotely the same. Where did you go wrong? What were you missing? Did you remember to buy MSG? Or were you not able to find TBHQ? Oh, that’s right, they don’t sell toxic butane on the condiment aisle, you’ll have to swing by and look at the lighter fluid section. Here is a short cut. Buy a bottle of butane, like you would use for your lighter, and drip some of that liquid into your chicken marinade. Now you’re getting close. Don’t believe me, take a look at the simple ingredient listing in that tasty bird and you’ll have your answer as to why it can’t be replicated. Still feel that this is your healthy alternative?

A Simple Sandwich: Here's what you'll need: Ingredient List

I thought it was just chicken, bread and some toppings.

How About for the Kiddo's? MSG Anyone?

How can chicken be so complicated....better yet....why?

Think Again: Not So Simple

Two cars wide, 20 cars long. That is 40 cars in 15 minutes, and yet, people wait.

Would You Trust A Person To Be Sane, if They Willingly Wait in Line for 20 minutes for a $5 Chicken Sandwich

If you’re still reading this, chances are you’ve seen the lines. It always amazes me that at almost any hour of the day, there are cars lined up. It is somewhat disturbing, like some strange cult mentality that people will pull into a Chick-Fil-A, with cars lined up into the street, two cars wide, as if this is normal and get their place in line for their fix. It reminds me of those scenes in a movie where people wait in line to get their rations. Are we as a people this oblivious to the fact that something is a bit off in peoples minds to think this is sane. Better yet, to not raise an eyebrow, that maybe there is a reason? And it is not because it is good. There are a lot of good things in life that you don't have to wait for. These people flock to Chick-Fil-A like rabid animals, partly because their brains are chemically altered by the toxins they eat. It is a vicious cycle: eat garbage food, crave garbage food because of the unnatural ingredients that you can only ingest by eating fast food, than repeat and eat fast food to satisfy that craving. It is this very fact that caused me to take a look at what is going on with Chick-Fil-A. Every day I drive by one and the line is wrapped around the building. Something screams fowl, and I think its becoming evident that it is the chicken.

Sanity? or....Zombies...

Hello I am a RoBot. I Can Be Trusted. There is Nothing Wrong With Me. This Is Normal Behavior. I will wait for my Fix. My Life Is Not More Valuable Than This Wait....for a sandwich.

A Deeper Look At the Toxins in YOUR Sandwich

TBHQ - Tertiary Butylhydroquinone (preservative?....sure, pickle my stomach lining).

Negative health effects on lab animals have shown TBHQ to producing precursors to stomach tumors and damage to DNA. A number of studies have also shown that prolonged exposure to high doses of TBHQ may be carcinogenic. TBHQ is a derivative from Butane and linked to ADHD, Dizziness, Asthma and Dermititi. (Foodbabe: Chick Fil-A or Chemical Fil-A).

MSG - Monosodium Glutamate (Flavor Enhancer?)

The Mayo clinic has found MSG to be triggers for:

Headaches, Flushing, Sweating, Rapid Heart Rate, Nausea

According to Dr. Russell Blaylock, a board-certified neurosurgeon and author of “Excitotoxins: The Taste that Kills.” he explains that MSG is an excitotoxin, meaning it overexcites your cells to the point of damage or death, causing brain damage to varying degrees -- and potentially even triggering or worsening learning disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Lou Gehrig’s disease and more.

Ever see a Chinese Restaurant that advertises NO MSG? Well, while they are purposefully cutting it out because of its dangers, Chick-Fil-A keeps on adding it in droves.

Thiamine Mononitrate (serve me up some liver damage, but it sure tastes great!)

A synthetic form of B1, this fat soluble additive is very difficult for your body to dissolve. This gem of an additive has been linked to:

Liver Disease, Kidney Disease and Allergic reactions, given that it is difficult to digest and break-down, accumulations of this create a cell toxicity which essentially, will start damaging your internal organs. That's a pleasant thought.

Aluminum Anyone? How about some Sodium Aluminum Phosphate:

Yes, the same aluminum used in buildings, is the used to derive sodium aluminum phosphate....for flavor. If you're struggling to replicate that Chick-Fil-A taste at home, maybe find an old Coke can, and scrape some off into your marinade. Digestion problems? Maybe heavy metal and Aluminum Toxicity is playing a role. Yum! I'll wait in line for that!

Do I need to Continue?

If you're still reading....

If you're still reading, you probably either enjoy my sarcasm, or are interested in healthy eating, or looking for some information, or maybe you're simply just entertained. Truthfully, do I eat some things I shouldn't, of course. Do I do it often, no, not often, and I certainly wouldn't wait in line for a Chick-Fil-A sandwich knowing what I now know. At the end of the day, it is your life to wait in line, eat sandwich after sandwich, but I encourage you to gain an understanding of what it is you are eating. Like the old saying, you are what you eat....metal, butane, poison's in, you can't expect a healthy care-free long life out.

Take some interest in your health, and be kind to yourself. It's ok to splurge every now and again, but if you find yourself waiting in line for it, pay attention, why are so many people waiting in line? There is more to a little truth to the fact that fast food eaters are addicted to fast food...its because of the ingredients that you like it and crave it, even if they essentially are ruining your health. They want you to like it, and those ingredients are in their food just for that reason. An addictive eater is a repeat customer and additional dollar in their pocket. Take charge of your life and gain back control of your cravings. They certainly won't be covering your medical bills, so don't be fooled. How about this, eat more chemical -less chicken. You'll thank me in the long run.
