Spiced Grilled Trout
Seafood is my weakness I can eat it every day of the week and I would but my family who always want me to cook are not seafood lovers like I am but that does not stop me from making me some very tasty seafood a couple days a week and one of those days are today as I shared this recipe for some Spiced Grilled Trout that even the family enjoyed
Spiced Grilled Trout
Ingredients
4 tsp Imported olive oil, divided
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Mexican chili powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp onion powder
2 limes cut into 9 slices
2 rainbow trout (8-oz.), butterflied
Methods
Brush the skin side of each trout with 2 teaspoons of the oil. In a small bowl combine remaining 2 teaspoons oil with garlic; brush on the flesh side of each trout.
In a small bowl combine chili powder, paprika and onion powder. Sprinkle evenly on the inside of each trout; season with pepper to taste. Place 3 lime slices inside each trout; close trout to enclose lime.
Preheat grill to medium (300°F to 350°F). Coat a large flat grill basket with nonstick cooking spray. Place trout in basket; close and secure. Grill 4 to 5 minutes per side.
Using a fish spatula, carefully remove trout from grill basket, and serve and enjoy
