Easy To Make Strawberry Pizza Dessert Recipe

My easy To make strawberry pizza dessert recipe is one of those recipes that is easy to make and easy to eat. I first started making this recipe when I first learned to cook. I would make it from scratch in the beginning and then when I had children I decided it was time to find a way to make it fast. So instead of making the cookie dough from scratch and cooking the gel for the strawberry topping I decided to experiment with some store bought products.

  1. The first thing I did was search for something to replace the crusts. I used to painstakingly make a shortbread dough waiting for it to chill and then pressing it into a pizza shape. I tried several packaged mixes, however that require the same amount of clean-up afterwards. The I discovered refrigerated cookie dough that only required it to be pressed onto the pizza pan. No mess to clean-up and very tasty.
  2. Secondly, I would make a gel which I cooked on top of the stove. I had to be very carefully not to burn or scorch it and it too require a lot of clean-up. I discovered in the fresh fruit isle of my grocery store a red gel sometimes called a glaze that worked just as well. Once again no pots to clean, I just had a small bowl where I mixed the crushed strawberries and gel together.

The recipe I created was just as tasty as the one that took me hours to make. This was one of the first recipes I played with to create an easy version of a difficult recipe. I now make my strawberry pizza quickly and easily with very little clean-up. With small children at that time I reinvented quite a few of the recipes which required too much time to make. This gave me more time to spend with my children. I also let them help with the preparation.

Decorate The Way You Like

Dessert Pizza

Dessert Pizza is one of the easiest desserts to make for your guest. The strawberry type is a favorite among dessert lover. You can make it ahead and serve it anytime. I enjoy making it and when the cream cheese sauce is completed it is ready for decorating. Some like to place the strawberries close together and create a pizza covered with them. If you want to experiment you can add a creative flair to your masterpiece by layering the strawberries in circular patterns to design a unique and beautiful finished product.

Children will love to help you place the strawberries on you pizza too. It can become a family project. With a bit of planning you will be able to design a strawberry pizza which can serve as a birthday dessert. The strawberry topping can be used to write out the name of the birthday person. You can even use canned whipped cream to add more decorative touches. Be creative and the results will make your strawberry pizza the centerpiece of your celebration.
