Vampire Cocktails
Delicious Vampire Inspired Cocktails
Looking for some delicious vampire cocktails? Well have I got some great cocktails for you to choose from - plenty of bloody drinks, but absolutely NO garlic martinis allowed!
Vampires are really hot right now thanks to Twilight, True Blood and the Vampire Diaries being so popular. This means that it's not just Halloween that has everyone reaching for a vampire cocktail you can have them at Vampire Diaries or True Blood parties or even serve the non-alcoholic vampire cocktails at teen birthday parties where they're bound to be a hit.
What's Here?
Vampire Cocktails
Vampire Martini
1 part vodka
1 part strawberry liqueur
1 part lime juice
1 part cranberry juice
Pour all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass to serve.
Bloody Vampire Cocktail
1 part rum
1 part cherry kool aid
Pour both of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a highball glass to serve.
Vampire's Delight
2 oz rum
1 banana
2 scoops vanilla ice cream
grenadine
combine the rum, banana and ice cream in a blender. Swirl the grenadine around in two champagne flutes so that it coats the inside and pour the banana mixture into the glasses.
Let's get this party started.....the Vampires are already trying to get in!!!
Bloody Glasses!
For a really cool effect you could try rimming your cocktail glasses with blood...
....now I don't mean real blood you just want to get the effect! This is guaranteed to impress your guests.
You will need
1 cup sugar
½ cup Karo Syrup
½ cup water
red food coloring
What to do
Combine sugar, syrup and water and cook without stirring to hard crack stage (300oF).
Add food coloring
Turn down the heat (you need to still keep the mixture hot while dunking the glasses) and dunk the top of the glass into the mixture while it is still hot
Flip glass right way up to cool and it will naturally cause some drips......just like real blood.
This method can be used for any glasses; but I wouldn't recommend it for plastic glassware!
Warning - It is difficult to clean this off of your glasses as it is basically a hard candy coating so soak it in hot soapy water for a little bit before washing. Alternatively do as I do and leave it soaking overnight - comes off quite easily the following morning that way.

The Albino Vampire Cocktail
1 jigger white creme de cacao
1 jigger vanilla vodka
1 jigger Lady Godiva white chocolate liqueur
Chambord raspberry liqueur
Layer the first three ingredients into a martini glass in the listed order and then finally drop in a dollop of Chambord. Do not mix or stir, the Chambord will naturally sink to the bottom.

Vampire Cocktail
1 ½ oz vodka
½ oz black raspberry liqueur
cranberry juice
Pour the vodka and black raspberry liqueur into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into an old fashioned glass and top up with cranberry juice.
Vampire Juice
2 oz lime flavored vodka
4 oz tomato juice
½ tsp fresh horseradish
splash of Tabasco sauce
Build the ingredients into a highball glass and stir well. I prefer to serve this without ice as the tomato juice ensures the cocktail is quite a thick blood like consistency, but this is entirely up to you.
Bloody Cocktails
Bloody Mary
1 1/2 oz vodka
1/2 cup tomato juice
2 tsp lemon juice
Worcestershire and Tabasco sauces to taste.
Pour all of the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a highball glass to serve.

1 1/2 oz tequila
a dash of Worcestershire sauce
a dash of Tabasco sauce
a dash of celery salt
tomato juice
Build these ingredients up in a tall glass in that order and gently stir.
Blood Daiquiri
1 part rum
1/2 part strawberry liqueur
1/2 part lemon juice
4 ripe strawberries
1 cup vanilla ice cream
Place into a blender and mix until well blended. Serve in a cocktail glass.
