Good morning Hubbers! If you signed into HubPages yesterday, you may have been surprised to see a new HubPages logo in your header:

    http://s1.hubimg.com/u/12317386.png

While this logo was just a prank, it's also a bit of interesting HubPages history. This was HubPages' first ever logo. Designed by Paul Edmondson's brother James, it appeared on the original splash page while the site was still in production. We sure have come a long way since then! Thanks for being a part of the journey with us. smile

Ha.  Nice one, HP.  Did James design the current logo?  I know he designed all of the logos before, but I was trying to find out if he designed this one also.  I found a couple of relevant links in regard to his logos.  One of the links is a blog that he wrote.  It's interesting to see the progression.  He admits to being embarrassed of the one we saw yesterday.  http://blog.hubpages.com/2010/01/15/a-s … -graphics/

Another old thread regarding logos.  Old comments are always great to read. http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/33585
If you look at the dates in the blog post, you'll see which logo he's referring to.  I believe it was the logo before this current one.  I miss some of those old hubbers.

      Hi rebekah,

Yes, our current logo was designed by him as well. He's really quite talented, and it's so interesting to see how his skills have developed and matured. We <3 our current logo and plan to keep it for the foreseeable future. smile

I thought that it was.  I like it also, a lot.  I love how it looks on the t-shirts.  Whenever I wear mine, I almost always have someone ask about 'HubPages'.
