When you are awakened each morning, you have one of two important choices—you can decide to unwrap each day as a beautiful and mysterious present or you can choose to replay past hurts with disdain and disappointment. It has been proven that there is a direct correlation between your attitude and your health. Individuals who have been diagnosed with debilitating illnesses make miraculous recoveries as opposed to those who see their ailments as a cruel twist of Fate.

How do you see your Life today? Do you see it as a series of disappointments and setbacks or do you see it as a roller coaster ride with highs and lows but enjoying every minute of it bar none?

Here is another question to ask anyone "out there" which I have been wondering:
Do you wake up and think it is a brand new day and everything that was is no more?
I have always woken up with the feeling that it's a new day and the past is the past. Of course, this view is not reality ... as every thing we do today is based on past actions. For some reason, this is never in my mind. Yes, I have schedules that I have made, but they are a given and does not prevent me from thinking that every day is BRAND NEW. Actually, I wonder if this view/mind set is an illusion I should have gotten over by now. How can an adult move on with plans and changes if he does not see each day as a direct extension of yesterday?
However, like in the movie Ground Hog Day, I do tend to forget and forgive very easily. smile

I can definitely see your point however I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in December 2015. They did the surgery to remove it and I went through Radiation and Chemotherapeutic Treatments. What kept me going was not drag along yesterday's thoughts but looking ahead to my healing.

This thought is for those who truly want to make a difference in their lives. Those who are tired of being held back by yesterday's mistakes. For those who like me, find strength in doing as the Apostle Paul said "For getting those things that are behind ..."

Perhaps this is NOT your reality. Thanks so much for your comments.

~ no matter how many times you fail, its okay. There's always  ….
Its best to remember that our lives are long, however, and any mistake we make today could actually take a long time to undo …

It is best to live life proactively isn't it? and wake up each day with determination to make it the best!
This is what we humans must do: is learn from the past. Mankind has a long history of mistakes made and successes accomplished. It's a good idea to research both! Now with the internet we can learn so much, so fast. We almost have NO excuse to say , "er uh um well ... it seemed like a good idea at the time …. ! yikes

Yes, we learn from our mistakes and move on knowing that each new day presents an opportunity to "get it right." We do not dwell on past failures; wishing that they could have been done another way. Such a useless waste of energy. But to look at each new day as the Dawn of Something Different. To exam it not through the eyes of past failures or defeats ... but through the eyes of "This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it."

It has been a year now since my Radiation Therapy and not a minute goes by where I am not really thankful that I can say "done." I can never stress enough the importance of having a Mammogram done. It may seem like a minor inconvenience and maybe even a waste of time but early detection is what saved me from a lot of future pain. There was only ONE cancer cell found but one is more than enough!!!
