Call of Duty Black Ops 2: Hardened & Care Package Edition & Nuketown Zombie Details!
Besides the standard copy, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will have two collectors editions. They are the Hardened Edition ($79.99) and the "Care Package Prestige Edition" ($179.99). The Hardened Edition will contain the pre-order bonus Nuketown 2025 and will also contain the Nuketown zombie map. This edition will be housed in a steel case (much like Black Ops 1 edition). The Black Ops 2 Hardened Edition will also contain the official soundtrack, collectible coins, a weapon camo, and player card backgrounds. Also, the PS3 version will contain two XMB themes while the Xbox 360 version will have Avatar items.
The Black Ops 2 Care Package Prestige Edition contains everything the Hardened Edition has, however, it comes with the MD-27 Dragonfire Drone with Remote Control housed in a care package replica box.
Both of these editions are essentially the same when it comes to exclusive in-game content, but if you want the AC drone you will have to buy the $179.99 Care Package Edition.
Nuketown Zombies will NOT BE INCLUDED with standard Black Ops 2 Edition!
It's important to note that if you pre-order the standard edition of Call of Duty Black Ops 2 you will not receive the Nuketown zombie map. More than likely, however, you will be able to purchase the Nuketown zombie map at a later date if you did not buy the Hardened or Care Package Edition. Nonetheless, you will not be able to play Nuketown zombies right off the bat if you just pre-order the regular Black Ops 2 edition.
Black Ops 2 Nuketown 2025 Multiplayer Map (FREE if pre-order)
The Nuketown map on Call of Duty Black Ops was a fan favorite. It was a very small map with a ton of close quarters action. Some players disliked the map because of the spawn point locations and the simplicity of the map, however. Nonetheless, Nuketown was well received by enough people that it would be remade on Black Ops 2.
Note that you will get the Nuketown multiplayer map for free if you pre-order Black Ops 2 (any edition).
I know that I will definitely be purchasing the Hardened Edition of Black Ops 2 because of the Nuketown Zombie map. I think it's pointless to purchase the Prestige Edition unless you really want the fancy box and the remote control drone. If you are a fan of zombies, purchasing at least the Hardened Edition is a must!
