Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies How to survive in Town (Solo or Multiplayer)

Updated on November 20, 2012

The Classic Zombies

Survival is the classic zombies. Sure it is nice to have TranZit and all of these new things but, on Call of Duty: World at War, zombies was merely a little building with two ways to leave the starting room and a third door that connected the whole building up. For when your needing something slightly easier than the ever stressful TranZit where one little mistake can mean missing the bus and having to face the little zombies that live in the fields. With the Survival on town, survival is actually pretty simple, if you know how to do it. There are a couple of guns on the walls, 6 different perks, two positions for the random boxes and the Pack a Punch machine, sitting in the middle of a large pool of lava. All of this confined into one of the five zones used in TranZit.

The Goals

Survival in this map is very simple, either solo or multiplayer, however, if some people do not know what they are doing it can turn into a disaster, especially if there is a lack of communication between players. The perks available on this map are: Jugger Nog, Speed Cola, Tombstone, Double Tap, Quick Revive (just Revive if solo) and Stamin-up. If you consider yourself a good zombies player then, provided you do not go down, you should be aiming to have Jugger Nog, Speed Cola, Stamin-up and either Tombstone or Quick Revive and a Pack a Punch/very good weapon by round 12. On solo, I have managed to have an MP5, Mustang and Sally (upgraded starting pistol) Revive, Jugger Nog, Speed Cola and Stamin-up by round 9.

In the Beginning

In the beginning you should start up by just knifing every zombie in round 1 and then, in round 2, shooting 8 bullets, 7 if they are on fire, into each zombie then knifing them. By this point you should have enough points to open up the door to Jugger Nog (750 points). The MP5 (1000 points) is a key gun, purely because of its point capabilities. If you are running a large enough train then you can get 1000 points for a single clip. You then save up for Jugger Nog (2500 points).

Continuing

). If you are playing solo then your next goal should be to buy Revive (500 points). The door to Revive costs 750 points but, if you are playing multi player then you should go for Speed Cola (3000 points) first. The door costs 1000 points. This is because that people tend to use the random box quite a lot and, because of the low chances of getting a good gun, they will probably continue to buy it, especially if lots of people are in the game. This means that the box will eventually move to the Quick Revive (1500 points) room, unless it started there. People will want to continue buying boxes so, when the box moves, will open the door to Quick Revive for you. This may save you very little points but you can fall behind if you have to open up 2500 points worth of doors. Basically, prolong getting Quick Revive as long as possible. If you don’t go down then getting all the perks and an MP5 should be achievable by round 10.

Straight Forward from now on...

Notice that I haven’t bought a box yet but that is mostly preference because I like to have perks rather than guns as, with an MP5, you have literally unlimited ammo and it is fairly easy to do well with that. I only Pack a Punch the MP5 once I have 30000 points because this way I can buy all the perks back twice if I go down and still have lots of points spare to use on ammo.
