Dead Ops Arcade in general.

Okay so first off, let me talk about dead ops arcade.

This is a game mode that was added to Black Ops as a different twist than normal zombies game modes. This game mode features you as a third person character and plays similar to old style video games at arcades. Your goal is to survive round after round as long as you can, and to try and get as far as you can in the game, while beating out your opponents for the highest score. Your overall goal should be that you are focused on scoring the most points possible, but also getting to high rounds in order to be at a safe spot on the leaderboards. So with all that being said let me talk about strategies for you to be number 1. I would also like to add that I added a picture of me and my friend playing in which I did get a million points, so you don't think I am just blowing smoke.

Playing the game.

Okay, so there are a lot of mistakes that some people make that jeapordize their chance at getting 1 million, getting above level 30, or having a great score. So let me talk about what you should do in order to try and get this high score...

FIRST.. Do not go after the flame thrower. This is a weapon that can smoke up the screen and allow zombies to slip through and put you down. This can kill you, and has happened many times. Up until round 15 you can use this weapon to play with, but after that it is NOT worth using.

SECOND.. GO for GEMS not WEAPONS.. First reaction when playing with people is to go for the weapons. While this is useful, getting those higher multipliers is crucial to get the higher score. Not to mention that the guns will go away but your multiplier stays with you UNTIL you die. SO this is a good way for you to try and get ahead, is to try and use the gems to your advantage.

Third.. Keep moving. The biggest tip I can give is to keep moving. Unless you get firepower in the room of fate, the best way is for you to keep moving and stay out of the way of the zombies. I have seen time and time again friends and teammates get stuck, and die because they simply get bogged down, and run out of nukes, or they are forced to use their power ups at early rounds.

Getting the multiplier.

I think this is one of the most important steps in the game, therefore let me talk about things you should do early on in order to get more gems and be more successful in the game.

First off.. Use your turbos early on. If you run out, each round it will replenish you 1 turbo. SO with that being said try your best to save the turbos for after the round is over, and get the gems that pop up.

Second. While there are a LOT of bonus pieces that add up in the multiplier, the ones that really count are the gems. SO with that being said IF you are going to see any big ruby, diamond, or sapphire, then use your turbo to get them. This is crucial because a big gem will bump you a full multiplier automatically.

(HOW TO AIM YOUR TURBO) This is something I don't tell many, but there is a specific way to get the turbo exactly where your going. Remember that usually gems spawn a distance away from both players, so you have time to fine tune exactly where you want to run. Before using your turbo, shoot your gun. You want your gun to be shooting the middle of the gem, then use the turbo. Then you are guaranteed to get the gem, not to mention you can push your teammate out of the way by doing this method.

Third. As said above, I will say it again. GEMS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN GUNS. Guns last roughly 30 second, as opposed to having gems that will last until you die. These are far more important if you want to break 1 million or higher.

Summary

So overall your main goal needs to be to focus solely on getting the gems, and moving. Getting guns if you have time, and utilizing your turbos in order to beat your teammate.

FUNNY NOTE- One thing that I learned is if you get the rocket launcher, and hit your teammate, you can push them a good distance. This comes in hand to move teammates into zombies, screw around, and have a laugh. Keep in mind if doing this online you will probably be getting yelled at, but hey, that's what playing online is for haha..

So overall have fun and practice as that is another great key to success, and if you have questions, or high scores post them below.
