Kids Toy Review: Buy Johnny Jump Up! Exercise For Baby, Relief For Parents!

Updated on September 20, 2016

Chubby legs?

My little daughter, she's so sweet, and just a little chubby down south. She is our lovely little Jennifer Lopez, I joke with my wife. Seriously though, baby's got back! Haha. She actually has little cleavage in her upper thighs from the pudge. I'm really grateful that it's not the other way around, I've heard of parents that have to work hard to get their kids to gain weight. Not a problem up in the Zoltak household. Johnny Jump Up is helping turn our baby into a lean little thing, culling the cute pudgy thighs.

Have a Hyper Baby? Johnny Jump Up May Be For You!

The Johnny Jump Up, not exactly a toy, not exactly just a swing either. It is though, a wonderful baby containing device! The evenflo company has made a delightful, coil-spring swing that your child or your friends child will positively enjoy! I say this from experience in that my 6 month old daughter loves to jump up and down in the Johnny Jump Up and she also likes to spin around! It's pretty fun to watch too, so much kinetic action! Truly, for the most part she has to either be in someone's arms or in a static, non-moving chair. But with the Johnny Jump Up baby has the ability to work out some of that energy, thankfully!

I've been a dad for over seventeen years, I know what I'm talking about!

I've been a dad for over seventeen years, SEVENTEEN YEARS! Wow, where has the time gone? I will most likely be a dad ( to babies living at home anyway) for another eighteen years or so. So I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the subject of kids, and especially wearing them out. The Johnny Jump Up does just that, helps wear kids out a little. It can be tough out there for a parent, especially for a mom or dad with a hyper kid! Or even just a kid who just has a lot of energy. Some things won't work, laying them down on a blanket may not work for long, putting them in a regular kid chair might only keep them occupied for a bit. That being said, I did want to add a small caveat here, some kids may not care for the Johnny Jump Up! It's the truth, some prefer backpacks, at least that was the case for my son who now is three. He just wasn't into it. Different strokes for different baby folks I guess. So there's no guarantee, but I believe there's a good chance they will enjoy the Johnny Jump Up.

Johnny Jump Up... ADD ONS!!! Another toy that goes well with Johnny Jump Up

Brightstarts.com 's toy, ostensibly called:Bright Starts, ahem, are a great "add on" toy to the Johnny Jump Up, an "upgrade" in the parlance of our times. One is pictured below. They have hooks and clips to fasten to the Johnny Jump Up, that your child, sometimes might play with, othertimes might ignore. Another great gift idea, especially if you can't pony up the dough for the Johnny Jump Up. Which reminds me, no reason you can't buy one off eBay, new is great, but a reputable eBay dealer can get you one at cost I'm sure.

Bright Starts, upgrade your Johnny Jump Up

Children will get into mischief, head them off at the pass!

I love my kids dearly, but they'll get into mischief to be sure. If you can tell what's going on in the above picture, good on you! But to elaborate, my six month old daughter could only crawl IN REVERSE! At the time of that photo. Now she moves forward some, haha. But back when she could only go backwards, she would often steer back under the couch and loveseat. Pretty funny for a second, then she'd get upset. The Johnny Jump Up worked wonders for just that sort of situation.

So I highly recommend this toy as a gift for kids under 25 lbs or for your own kids. It keeps them active, it's fun, it doesn't take up much space, and it's relatively inexpensive. Did I mention it has slimmed up my little daughter's pudgy thighs?
