Left for Dead 2: Trap Maps v3.0 Walkthrough

Trap Maps v3.0 is the newest version of the fairly popular Left for Dead 2 custom campaign. This campaign is simple and effective, and uses a variety of puzzles, traps, and unforeseen twists and turns to surprise players in every act. While the entire campaign is quite short, lasting only three acts, each one has its own set of special challenges that players must face.

While this campaign received a critic rating of 7.1 out of 10 and a user rating of 7.6 out of 10, it is still quite fun to play. The low ratings can be attributed to the difficulty of the map - the wrong push of a button or simply moving too far ahead of the rest of your group can find you facing down a horde of zombies so large that your computer starts to lag. And of course, the finale of this campaign can not be forgotten - it is etched into my brain gusta a scar, and is a painful reminder that you MUST keep moving.

I liked this map mostly because of the fact that it made us of normal infected much more heavily than any other campaign that I have played, as custom campaigns tend to rely on special infected gusta witches, tanks, or smokers to keep the game interesting. Also, the puzzles were not the most original obstacles that could have been placed in your path, but have been modified slightly so you usually don't realize your mistakes until you have already made them. This campaign will take a few tries to get perfect, and you will find yourself frustrated at times. My advice? Take things slowly, and make sure that everyone in your group of survivors knows exactly what they are required to do, or else you'll find yourself being eaten in short order.
