My Top Ten

Here is a list of some of my favorite games. I mostly recommend them to anyone who is just getting into games and/or want some fun games to play. (Note: It may be my Top Ten, but they're not in any specific order.)

Edit 3/11/2016: Wow, this list is old, and my first published HUB. Gotta say, I won't change anything. But now, I would add Hyrule Warriors, Trails of Cold Steel and a few other new ones to the list, but, I think I'll save those for a new HUB. Hope you guys enjoy my thoughts!

#1: Rogue Galaxy

Genre: Action RPG

Developer: Level 5

Rogue Galaxy is a very fun game filled with characters that are filled with life. The main character is Jaster who dreams of exploring beyond the stars. He gets his wish when a couple of pirates mistake him for somebody else. And then, he begins his life as a Space Pirate.

The Game features beautiful Cartoonish style animation and rich and lush planets to explore.

#2: Dark Cloud 2

Genre: Action RPG

Developer: Level 5 (Gotta love Level-5!)

Not really much to say about this game, except that it's a masterpiece.

The game stars Max, a whiz kid who has a knack for inventing, and Monica, a princess from the future who came to the past to stop an evil time-traveler who is erasing the future. (Wow, that one was a mouthful)

What makes the game really unique is Max's ability to take pictures of objects, then invent useful and strange things from the pictures. The game mainly revolves around fixing up destroyed towns by building houses and fixing up the future.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Raiden Vs. Vamp

Genre: Action/Adventure

Developer: Kojima Productions

Snake is back and better than ever in this breath-taking sequel.

Was hesitant about this title, because I wasn't that big of a MGS fan. Played the original, which kinda frustrated me, then I watched my Brother-in-law play the sequel. Never bother with 3. But glad I decided to try 4. I couldn't put the game down. Loved the story and the cinematics. Really blew me away, and was the highlight of the PS3 way back when.

#4: Persona 3

Persona 3: Fes

Persona 3

Genre: RPG

Developer: Atlus

Persona 3 is a must play title that I could not recommend enough. Especially to JRPG and anime lovers. The game is very unique, it even has dating sim elements in it, and was reminded of Sakura Wars.

The story revolves around a group of young teens who unlocked a secret ability called a Persona. A creature that emerges from ones soul during the Dark Hour. The Dark Hour is what happens when the clock hits midnight and time freezes, and the monsters called Shadows start lurking about.

I also recommend Persona 4. It's a great game and the only reason it's not on this list is because I'm not that far into the game. The Disgaea games aren't on this list for similar reasons.

#5: Heavenly Sword

Heavenly Sword

Heavenly Sword

Genre: Action/Adventure

Developer: Ninja Theory

An awesome game. Every PS3 owner should play this, and/or have this in their collection. My only problem: the game is over way, way too quickly. Felt more like a blockbuster film than a game really.

It stars Nariko, a woman with dangerously long hair. The game is told via flashbacks as Nariko uses the Heavenly Sword, a weapon that grants extraordinary strength but at the cost of the wielders life, to stop King Bohan, portrayed by Andy Serkis, from using the sword for his own evil deeds.

#6: Call of Duty: World at War

Call of Duty: World at War

Genre: FPS

Developer: Treyarch

One of the best Call of Duty titles. I recommend this for the WWII fanatics and FPS lovers.

The game features an Intense story and excellent multi-player. And the new game mode, Nazi Zombies also makes the game worth playing.

#7: Pokemon: Diamond

Developer: Game Freak

A Very addictive and fun little DS game title.

It features all new Pokemon to catch and i personally love entering my Pokemon into pageants. A must play for Pokemon lovers and DS owners.

#8: Grandia III

Genre: RPG

Developer: Game Arts

A Square Ennix game that features Romance, Adventure and a unique fantasy world.

The game stars a boy named Yuki, who dreams to become a great pilot and soar the open skies. When Yuki builds a plane and leaves his island behind for adventure. What he didn't count on was his mother stowing away, pushing the plane over the weight limit, While trying to get the plane to fly steady, he spots a young elf eared girl being chased by some people. Not one to leave a damsel-in-distress, he tries to rescue her, but since the plane is over the weight limit, he crashes. From there, him, his mother and the young elf eared girl named Alfina, go on an adventure of a lifetime.

The game also feature the great song, In The Sky by Miz, which quickly became one of my favorite songs.

Genre: Real-Time Strategy

Developer: Pop Top Software

Another Very addictive must play game.

Players start off on an island with a few people. You must build a tropical paradise and become, El presidente. Watch as your people grow... Watch as your people rebel... Even watch as tropical storms, like a Hurricane, devastate your island.

#10: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Phantom Hourglass, one of the best DS games on the system.

In this sequel to The Wind Waker, The crew is searching for a fabled Ghost Ship. While searching, the Ghost Ship appears before them. Tetra decides to search it for treasure, but when she enters the ship, a shrill scream echoes from it moments later. Link leaps after it as the ship begins disappearing into a fog.
