Best iPhone Room Escape Games

I've always been a big online PC room escape fan. That's why I was so excited when I got an iPhone, to find out that there are so many room escape and point-and-click adventure games available on mobile devices. If you're a room escape fan like I am, you'll want to check out these great games for your iPhone. Many of them are even free!

Antrim Escape 1, 2 & 3

The full Antrim Escape series is worth checking out!

The Antrim Escape series, by GameHive Corp., is made up of three games so far. I recommend playing all three and starting from 1. But you should know that number 2 is the most challenging of the three and has some labyrinth mini-games that may frustrate some players. But it is also the game that makes the most use of tilt and shake controls. For instance, you can shake your phone to hear candies in a box move around. All three games use beautifully-drawn 2D graphics and will provide any room escape fan with plenty of entertainment.

Antrim Escape 3 is great for anyone who likes lots of puzzles, without having to worry about any mini games. There is one mini game, but you can now skip it. There has also been an update that adds a Christmas Hidden Object Adventure. In this bonus game, there are Christmas items hidden throughout the game. You need to find them all to get the surprise at the end. Luckily, the game allows you to go back to older rooms in case you missed something.

If you're a room escape fan, definitely give these games a try.

DOOORS Room Escape Game

A great room escape game consisting of 25 different doors

DOOORS, by 58Works, consists of 35 doors that you must open. This game utilizes tilt, touch and shake controls to make the most of your iPhone. This is what touchscreen gaming is meant to be. Each room is more challenging than the last, and you really must think outside the box to escape. Sometimes you'll even have to turn your iPhone upside-down while tapping at the screen! Each room has its own unique puzzles and challenges. Best of all, the game is free!

Roombreak: Escape Now!!
Roombreak: Escape Now!!

RoomBreak: Escape Now!!

Roombreak: Escape Now!! is a hardcore room escape game.

RoomBreak: Escape Now!! by Gameday Inc. consists of five episodes with five rooms each, making a total of 25 rooms full of challenging puzzles and mini-games. Roombreak is more of a hardcore escape game, because there is an exhaust meter for each room. If you don't escape before the meter runs out, you'll have to start the room over from scratch. This can be frustrating for some, but others may like the extra challenge.

There are also some mini games you must play in order to progress. Using the knife requires you to remember a sequence of swipes and repeat them. The hammer is like a Simon game, making you tap some circles in a sequence. The hammer game is very unforgiving so your timing has to be perfect. Some may give up because if this in later episodes. But if you stick with it, Roombreak can be a very rewarding experience. The puzzles are challenging, and each episode follows a different character and different story. It's like getting five different games in one. Plus, if you complete the first five episodes, you can unlock the sixth for only 99 cents more. There is plenty of room escape fun to be had here!

Ellie - Help me out...please by Ateam

This Japanese horror game is real challenge, and real creepy!

Since all you can do is talk to her, you have to instruct her to examine objects around the room and help her solve puzzles. I won't tell you how it ends, because it's so delightfully creepy and something you should discover for yourself. But there are multiple possible endings and plenty of challenges to keep you busy. The graphics and music also help draw you into the mood of the game.

Great Stuff on Amazon

Here are some things you might like.

100 Floors & 100 Exits

If you liked playing DOOORS, you won't want to miss 100 Floors. It features the same kind of puzzles that use all the different iPhone gestures, and there are already 90 floors completed!

100 Exits is not quite as good as the other two, but of you're starved for some similar puzzles, give it a try!

Hold Up

For the DOOORS and 100 Floors fans.

Hold Up is another game similar to DOOORS, 100 Floors and 100 Exits. Only this time you're opening vaults. It's lacking in quality, but still good for a few good puzzles. Check it out while waiting for new DOOORS levels!
