7 Step Program to Positive Thinking

Updated on July 25, 2011

Do you have ideas in your head that you want to reveal to the world? Of course you do! The question is, how do you get yourself to the point where you are motivated, creating actions that will allow you to put your ideas into motion? How do you get creative and inspired?

Setting up personal goals coupled with positive attitude/positive thinking will make things for you much easier and, you will enjoy yourself along the way.

Having a positive attitude is also good for reducing stress and, even improving your health.

Here is an outline for you so that you may familiarize yourself with ways for which you can develop a positive attitude.

  1. Take action. You want your ideas to come to life. Every idea originated as a thought. Thinking is good but, you have to have a way to move the idea from just a thought to creating it. The only way is to take action. Have passion in your actions. Allow yourself to dream big so, that you know your actions will give you exactly what you want.
  2. Use love as a motivator for your actions. If you love your friends and your family, the best thing you can do is become a happy person who achieves your goals. Leading by example is what the American Dream is all about.
  3. Be enthusiastic about all your experiences. If you make a mistake, do not perceive it as a failure but, rather a discovery of what not to do next time. As long as you keep plugging away, you will be surprised at how far you go. You may just find another way of doing things.
  4. An attitude of gratitude. I’m sure you’ve heard this phrase several times but, it’s meaning, though simplistic, is extremely important. Be grateful for what you have and what you will have. This means to be grateful for what you want, just as if you already have been given it.
  5. Focus your mind on abundance and increasing your knowledge. Avoid thinking about things in a way that reflects lack or scarcity. If there’s something you want to do that many people already do, avoid thinking that there’s not enough room for you in that area. The universe is plentiful and will make room for you anywhere you like. Remember, everything is in abundance.
  6. Enhance your sense of humor. Remember to laugh at yourself and, not take yourself so seriously all the time. This allows you to be viewed as more endearing. The other positive aspect of being jovial is it’s contagious. You will make others happy when you smile, laugh, or tell a joke.
  7. Take full responsibility for everything in your life. Know that you control your own destiny by all of your actions. Become more aware of your surroundings and how they have been brought directly into your life. Learn from what you have to bring more into your life. If you have a car, how did you get that car? How did it come about? I bet you were happy, feeling positive, and you took the necessary actions that were needed in order for you to obtain that car. It works the same way for everything. Just keep repeating the process until you have all you desire.

Changing your attitude can do a world of good for you and the people around you. You owe that yourself and others.
