The american people are people that like to over indulge in everything. This why addiction and compulsions run rampant in this world of ours. When we find something that we love to do, we alawys over do it, whether it's drugs, sex, cigarretes, food, or lying, our inner demon ; makes us crazy for our habits,and if we don't get what we desire, we'll have craving attacks.
I have had a few addictions of my own, one of them was cigarettes , I thought that there wasn't anything to calm my nerves better than smoking a cigarettes. We aren't aware that our minds are playing tricks on us, because we are thinking these addictions or complusions are good for us.
Smoking is a bad habit for anyone to have, I know that now;since I stopped smoking November 1990. Twenty years in November I will be smoke free. We don't realize that any habitual addiction or compulsion, have control over us; whether we"re under the power of sexual addiction, drugs, it's an addiction that we don't need
This an addiction that we need to get a handle on; because it will destroy our lives and leaves us broken and alone. With any addicton or compolsion you have to realize, that nothing is that good; if it's destrying your life or livelihood.
We have to except the fact that we have a problem, then have the guts and determination to get help; to get ourselves back on the right tracks of life. Mind you, this endeaver will not be an easy chore. If we can endure and over come these debilitating habits, we will be healthier and happier people. we all want to live happy and productve and unhampered lives, but it is impossible if we're obsessed with drugs, sex, alcohol, or any of the other addictions or compulsions.
It's time to free ourselves from all of these obstacles and start to live our lives again. Here are a few tips that might help us get started in the right direction.
1. Always pray about your problem and put God first in your life.
2.Take positive steps to get the help we need.
3.accept that we have a problem that's bigger than us.
4.Get medical and mental help, or whatever help we need to solve our mounmental problem.
So, now that you have the tips, we can get the help that we need, to be happy and finally be ourselves again.
