Conversations with the Higher Self - Brain and Mind
The Human Brain is NOT the mind.
I ask that someone in 'The World's of Spirit' answer a question.
Welcome to Conversations with the Higher Self - Mind and Brain.
In Admiral Shattock’s book, ‘Power Thinking,’ the author states that: “The mind, as we know it at present, is simply another sense, a sixth sense which acquires information from any source open to it. It is an instrument which acts as a sensitive plate, and transmits what is recorded on to the brain. It is an instrument of knowledge.”
I would like you to explain to me, if you will, what the mind is as far as I and other human beings are concerned. I feel this is important, for there is an awful lot of confusion about humankind’s mind.
Do we really think it all happens up here?

Tom. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Albert Smedley. I am an expert, or I was, when I lived on earth, quite expert in explaining this type of question to laymen such as yourself.
The brain and the mind can be set quite apart. The brain is a physical organism which, when the body dies, disintegrates with it. The etheric brain, on the other hand, is non-physical, as is the etheric body - you know these as the Astral. It does not matter. The physical brain is dust. The astral brain is made of a subtler material which does not die when the physical brain falls into ruin.
Okay.

The Mind is contained throughout the entire universe.
The Mind. The mind is contained right throughout the entire universe. It is God’s mind. It becomes a ‘personal mind’ when it is compressed into a lower frequency and is registerable in the physical through the etheric brain. The etheric brain has to be prepared by attention, intention and general interest. The etheric ‘neuronal patterns’ are every bit as real as the physical neuronal patterns. They complement one another. The etheric is the prime mover here. The biological mind provides feedback and habit. Once a pattern is established fully in the etheric it becomes transferable to the biological or physical mind. Once it is fully established in well-defined neuronal patterns or pathways in the physical, it is able to influence ‘automatically’ the etheric brain. The etheric brain ‘throws up’ so to speak, the concepts, patterns, and thoughts onto the ‘mirror of consciousness.’
Diagram of the top part of our aura - each layer being made of subtler and subtler matter.
At the causal plane there is nothing but a welter of ideas and concepts.
This ‘throwing up’ onto the mirror of consciousness is also done via a number of intermediary step. The steps go ‘upwards.’ There is a habit pattern established by neuronal pathways in the physical. This is effected in the etheric or astral, as you call it. This, in turn, goes upwards into the higher astral planes and into the causal planes from which great ideas come. At the causal plane level there is nothing but a welter of ideas and concepts. Above that again are those planes where love and joy and compassion exist only. So in order for an idea to come down it comes down through these various levels to impinge, eventually, on the human physical brain as a concept which can be presented at that level- something understandable at that level.
Here is a photo of the aura around a man's head and shoulders.
The Mind is a series of dimensions which encompass the whole universe.
If it cannot be handed down in sufficient clarity to be comprehended and understood at the physical level it cannot make it into physical reality. That is the idea cannot be registered in the physical brain and is therefore lost due to attenuation in the step-down process.
You asked me a question. Is the mind simply another sense- a sixth sense?
No. It is more than that. The mind is a ‘series of dimensions’ which encompass the whole universe. There is upper mind, lower mind, and a myriad mind levels and planes interacting through spectra which is inconceivable to you at your present level of development. You’ll know more and more as you grow and grow. And, of course, you will continue to grow when you are no longer living on the physical plane you are at present living upon.
All right. Let’s see where we can go from here with this.
Note how the colours of changed from the picture above.
Every thing is lesser than The Whole.
I can see from your aura that you are developed in some areas and undeveloped in others. No judgement here. You are developed in certain areas of communication and wish to develop further in these areas so that you can more effectively teach what you know. Teaching is a noble aim. Without it where would any of us be? But in your teaching about the mind you need to know that the mind is both an instrument and something more. At those levels below that of Godhead or Self-Realization it is always lesser than the whole. That is how God, The All Mighty has organised Itself. Every thing is lesser than the whole. Every idea is lesser than the total idea. It has to be this way. If it were not then every one and ever thing would experience everyone else and be every thing all the time. If every one were every thing and every idea all of the time there would be no thing, nothing, and void. And God, The All Mighty, has obviously chosen that not to be. At this time, any way.
No, I won’t go down the ‘Time Track.
Your mind is your servant if you train in right.
So, Tom, I can see that you have received something of this through your own hand, and what you have received is a fairly accurate portrayal of what I have put across to you. I can read both your mind and what is written upon your computer screen as you are writing it. Believe me, I can!
All right. Know this:
You mind is your servant if you train it right. You mind is your master if you fail to do this. You are on the path to having an excellent servant at your beck and call. Work on that.
And good luck and good fortune to you,
Albert.
