Fighting Common Cold -- Sukku Kashayam -- :)

Remember the horrid times when you have the common cold and keep feeling the discomfort ? I hate the common cold but am happy that I still remember what my Grandma taught me.

You can't replace the lovely home remedies and valuable advice of your Grandma :) It's totally awesome !! and I love it !!

So lets get you started here before I add any irritation over top of your every growing irritation due to the cold :)

Ingredients:

Dry Ginger (known as Sukku, you can easily find it in any Indian Grocery store)

Pepper Powder

Jaggery (Made of Sugarcane, also easily found in Indian stores) -- If you don't have it, just add some sugar but I prefer Jaggery

Method:

Take a pan, pour once cup of water and add 1/4 spoon of pepper and a small piece of jaggery to it.

Take a piece of dry ginger and smash it with a cup or something heavy 2-3 times, so that it becomes a bit soft. Now add it to the pan having the other ingredients.

Keep it to boil until the water level reduces to 1/4th of the CUP.

Tada !! Your home made medicine is ready to help you out fight the cold :)

Pour the pan solution to the cup and let it cool down a bit, so that you can start sipping it according to your tolerance of drinking hot beverages :)

Have it three times a day, morning, evening and before you go to bed. You will surely feel better.

Tip: If you frequently keep getting the cold, its good to have fruits rich in vitamin C once a day, this really helps.
