How Chia Seeds Can Stop Those Cravings



Cravings are associated with most any diet on the market. Once your body realizes it is not getting as much food as it used to, it may go into panic mode, encouraging you to eat everything in site. Even if you are slightly hungry, a craving can send you to the point of binge eating. Using chia seeds, you will be able to control both yourself and your cravings while dieting.

By adding water to chia seeds, they will expand in size. The gel coating that covers the outside is formed with water, and the effect can last for hours and will not add any calories. Since the chia seeds are larger in size, they will keep you full longer. Since the seeds take on the taste of whatever they are soaked in, you have endless options of what you can add the seeds to. Soaking them in juice, or adding them to your coffee or soymilk will give you the chance to improve your fiber and nutrient intake. Eating these expanded chia seeds on a regular basis will keep your full longs and prevents hunger pains.

Food cravings can sometimes try to tell you what your body is deficient. Once you being craving food, you can go on a massive hunt to find anything to satisfy yourself. By eating chia seeds on a regular basis, you will boost the amounts of necessary minerals in your body making your cravings less and for smaller amounts. The large amounts of fiber will keep you feeling fuller for longer periods of time, helping you to control yourself and stick to you eating plan. Since chia seeds can also be used to keep you full, you will be able to control your hunger pains to prevent the wild cravings.

Diets, even healthy ones, can be expensive. Instead of buying individual portions of food or joining a home delivery plan, consider upping your nutrition and lowering your food intake with chia seeds. Chia seeds are grown naturally, and can be found very inexpensively. You can eat as many as you want at any time, and they are completely chemical and hazard free. They will fit right in with your diet, as they will help you curb cravings and control your eating.

If you enjoy cooking at home, consider using chia seeds to cut calories and fat. If you are craving baked goods, whip some homemade treat. Add the gel from chia seeds in for half of the fatty substance. The seeds will not change the taste or texture of the food and will not alter the baking process. With a little bit of practice, you will soon become a skilled chia seed cook. When you add it to your homemade baked goods, you will not only be able to control what you put into your body, but you will be able to benefit from the nutritional value and craving control benefits of chia seeds.
