How To Gain Weight Fast and Easy

Updated on June 19, 2013

Intro

There are so many articles, blogs, videos, and other media to help people to loose weight but what about people that might want to gain weight? There can be a number of reasons why people wish to gain weight. Here are some:

  • You are underweight
  • You are thin but wish to be bigger
  • You are trying to put on muscle
  • You are trying to put on fat

People can be very judgmental about weight loss and weight gain so make sure before you change your diet or routine that you are doing for you. Believe it or not there are people who love to gain weight or they love the idea of becoming fatter. (They are referred to as gainers.) And then there are people that just find heavier people to be more attractive. The important thing is to feel comfortable with the skin you are in.

Drinking whole milk is a great weight to put on weight and increase your calories! Plus, it tastes great!

Let's Start Gaining!

The most important thing you can do to gain it to eat more. Sure, this is common knowledge but it's important that you increase your calorie intake. This can be done gradually or you can just stuff your face all the time. It is up to you, but preferably let us not make ourselves sick.

High calorie foods are the best. It's up to you whether you wish to incorporate the good or bad fats but I would suggest the following:

  • Whole Milk
  • Meat (Steak, fish, chicken, etc.)
  • Potatoes
  • Peanut Butter
  • Ice Cream
  • Pizza, Pasteries, and Bread
  • Weight Gain Shakes
  • Avacado

The list can go on and on. Take a look at the label of your favorite foods. Increase what you eat. Take in plenty of carbohydrates.

"How Often Should I Eat?"

The more often you eat the better. I would recommend eating every couple of hours. It's not healthy to skip meals so I would not recommend that for anyone.

There are ways to sneak extra calories in. For example, when you pass the kitchen grab a spoonful of peanut butter and eat it straight or put it on some bread. Drink a glass of whole milk before bed. Try to drink high calorie drinks at your meals and in between them.

Keep snacks ready at all time! If it's fat you wish to gain then stock up on your favorite donuts, pasteries, cookies, etc. You will be surprised how fast and easy it is to put extra calories in your body. From personal experience I was able to put on 15-20 pounds in just two months but eating extra pieces of pumpkin pie and drinking glasses of chocolate milk and eggnog.

Other Tips:

Consider these:

  • Lift Weights
  • Lower Cardio Exercise
  • Keep track of your caloric intake
  • Eat, eat, and eat some more!

Go for Seconds and Thirds!

Part of the fun of gaining weight is that you get to eat all that you want. It's fun! So, go back for seconds and thirds and enjoy food to the fullest. Buffets can be a great place to have some fun!

Good lucking gaining and let me know if these tips help you!
