Take care of yourself physically

The first part of being well in your life is making sure to eat a proper diet, and exercising both your mind and body. A proper diet crucial to keeping the body healthy and alert. A diet does not mean you starve yourself or go on one of those fads. Don't try to think of it as a diet, go with a life change because there is so much negativity and fear associated with the word diet.

Start by making healthy substitutes like water instead of soda.. Stop eating at fast food restaurants and so on. One small change here and there can lead to a healthier diet. A big part of being well in life is exercise which is good for your mind and body. Exercise does not mean you have go to a gym twenty four/ seven. You can start out by doing a little walking, then increasing the number of steps as you feel you are ready.

Keep life simple

Part of preparing yourself physically and mentally is dealing with stress. The more stress you add to your life the more body reacts the stress and the more open you are to getting diseases like, high blood pressure, heart disease and more. To be well in your life means taking step to simplify your life. A simple life means lower stress. If you volunteer too much, cut back. If there are jobs you know other people at work can do, dictate the work.

At home you can try to find a few moments of “me” time where you go to a room and just veg out reading or maybe relax in a hot tub, or do some exercise or for those who are married, sex is a great way to relieve stress. The idea is to find something to release the tension you build up each day

Become financially fit

Being well financially consists of two things, being out of debt and having money in the bank. Credit contrary to popular belief is not a tool to use when you want buy something –instead use money. If you want a car save up the cash then buy the car. If you want to buy a house, save up as much money as possible for a down payment, then pay the house off as soon as possible. All the money use save can be put away for a nice retirement.

Not being in debt also helps with your mental and physical well being because no matter what else happens in life those extra bills will not be there for you to worry about.

So there you have it, being well in life is not hard. It just takes a little effort and once the pieces fall into place you will be much better off.
