Losing Weight One Step at the Time part 2

Updated on September 17, 2011

Loosing that extra weight

In my first hub I explained why and reason of some people not being able to lose weight and keep it off. In part 2 I will show you how to re-energize your organs so that they work together and act accordingly when dieting.

Most overweight people have underlying problems that make it impossible for them to keep a healthy weight.

Low Metabolism: this means you can eat some food and even if you eat a small amount your body doesn't burn if off very quickly and, instead, turns it into fat in your body. If you had a really high metabolism you could eat large amounts of food and it wouldn't turn to fat in your body. So the number one reason why people are overweight is Low Metabolism.

Underactive Thyroid:If you suffer from Hypoactive Thyroid, or Under-active thyroid your body's ability to convert food to energy is slow and you have a higher chance of having food you ear turn into fat in the body.

Pancreas that does not work properly: The pancrease secretes insulin. Overweight pople appear to have a pancreas that secretes insuoin at a much faster rate that thin people. A larger person's pancreas also secrets more insulin than thinner people. The cause of this is unknown or never been proven, although the USA has more food additives than any other country. It also appears that the high amounts of refined sugar cause this pancreas problem as well. American food has more processed sugar than food from other countries.

Clogged or Sluggish Liver The liver is a detoxifying organ. When it's clogged up, your metabolism slows down. The number one reason your liver is clogged and not operating properly is the non prescription over-the-counter drugs you have taken all your life, mainly Tylenol and prescribed drugs with Tylenol additives. Most notably, if you take any cholesterol reducing drugs, you liver is absolutely categorically clogged. Chloride and fluoride in the water is another cause of a clogged liver. Food additives used in processed food and fast food dramatically clog the liver. Refined sugar and white flour as well. Substances such as artificial sweetener's and MSG will all clog the liver.

Sluggish Digestive SystemOverweight people seem to have a problem with producing digestive enzymes. If your are not producing enough digestive enzymes your food does not get converted s energy and has a higher chance of being stored as fat. Reasons for a sluggish digestive system appears to be the food additives that are put in the American food Supply. The small and large intestine in overweight people are not as healthy as those of think people. What is the cause of this? It is a candida yeast overgrowth. The reason is antibiotics. If you have ever taken just on antibiotic in your life, that antibiotic killed all of the friendly flora in your intestine and allowed for candida to run rampant, infesting your small and large intestine and colon. permeating the cell walls and slowing down your digestion ad elimination. A good colon cleanse and the use of Probiotics will regulate your digestive system, as well as watching what you eat.

If you were to ask what is the number one reason for a slow metabolism the answer is simply "What you put in your body." The poisons or toxins include nonprescription and prescribed drugs, chemical residue used in the growing of food, the artificial food additives used by manufactures, and the toxins in your water supply.

Before you begin a new diet, remember it is not a diet it is a lifestyle. Check with your doctor about all of the above if you have unsuccessfully tried and could not lose weight. There are cleansers for each organ. All of them should be cleansed or the changes you make, will not benefit you entirely.

Stay tuned for Part 3, "Simple steps to healthy weight loss and keeping it off!
