A Letter To Heaven

Father

Dear Dad

I know that you are watching me from up there, and your spirit is all around me, I feel you near me when im troubled, I know you guide me through all the hardships and good times in my life.

I wish we could have done those things you promised me that we would do, you remember when you said we would have our first pint together when I was 16, And our fishing trip that we would go on  to the river to catch the trout you loved so much. We could go to the railway museum in york to see all the classic steam trains you were obsessed with.

Im now an adult father and I went to these places that we promised eachother I know that in spirit you came too I wish we could have talked about the old times when you were a boy and all the stories about you growing up and your first girlfriend and how you met mum and when me and my sister were born how you were the happiest, proudest father in the world.

I see you in my dreams and I know that even though the cancer took you away from me when I was 10 we will be together allways and as you said to me before you died, when the man in the sandals comes for me you will come for me too.

Father how I miss you, but one day we shall be together again and when that day comes I will be the happiest and proudest son in the world.

I love you father....................
