Among Diabetes, Septicemia, Influenza, and stroke, cancer is listed number two in order, next to heart disease. Heart disease is no doubt the big one, killing an estimated 617,000 people yearly, but cancer does not run far behind at 563,000 deaths. And there are just as many types of cancers as there are conditions which lead up to heart disease. Among a few of these are...Lung, Breast, Bone, Brain and Melanoma. Melanoma or skin cancer along with other cancers have been plaguing our society for many years. And even modern conventional means of treatment have not proven successful.

However chemotherapy, radiation treatments and various drug and chemical treatments, have restrained the disease process somewhat. But in reality all of the radiation and other chemical treatments often do more harm than good, in an effort to cure disease. In addition to those treatments, alternative medicine therapies, have not done a lot either in the way of eradicating the problem. There are always new hopes on the horizon in the way of medical cures for cancer. Shark cartilage has even shown promise in combatting certain forms of cancer. And to add antioxidant's which have been around probably for as long as cancer, if not longer continue to provide some healing effects, as far as cancer goes.

One typical antioxidant which has given us some future hope, in treating melanoma's and other cancer's, is Reservatrol. Reservatrol is a Stipenoil or Phenol and for some of my reader's who still do not understand these terms-Reservatrol is basically a bi-product of grape skins, or wine for example. So if you enjoy sipping a fine wine on occasion, than you will certainly enjoy the benefits that Reservatrol will give you. Initially all you have to do to get its anticarninogenic(anti-cancer-fighting), benefits, is to do just that. Begin drinking a couple of glasses of wine here and there. It does not necessarily mean that you have to turn into a genuine wino or drunkard overnight, to get the overall benefits of this antioxidant's effects. Reservatrol simply is yet another way to go, along an avenue which includes many other natural remedies. It is one more important alternative and healthy way to assist in putting the lid on cancer and other diseases.

Cancer as some of us may know, begins when one cell becomes abnormal and than goes on rampage among other normal cells. This is better known as a type of cell destruction that involves a protein called nuclear factor-Kappa B (NF-kB). This particular protein for reason's still somewhat unclear, appears to fuel a majority of cancer tissue and in turn, enables the cancer to further develop and multiply. Reservatrol on the other hand when introduced within this scenario, appears to trick cancerous cells into destroying themselves. Positive and encouraging recent discoveries; also supported the fact, that Reservatrol has a powerful affect on human breast tissue. Reservatrol was further found to stop the metastasis, (or spreading of cancer). Metastasis in most cases, is a contributing cause of breast melanoma death.

Many disease processes beside cancer are the direct result of inflammation within the cells. As cells break down and prematurely die, they do not replenish themselves. In turn this can cause disease to develop and progress throughout our bodies at a faster rate. Overall our bodies tend to age much quicker than they normally would. And in addition as cells break down more quickly than normal, not only can disease develop more quickly, but our bodies will age much more rapidly as well.

The spices Tumeric and Curcumin when added to Reservatrol have not only shown to reduce the inflammation process; but also have found to be fairly effective in treating stomach and colon cancers. For some years now, Curcumin and Tumeric have been used as ancient anti-inflammatory medicinals, capable of not only alleviating a variety of disease states. But in addition helping to regulate the bodies signalling processes; in the prevention of such cancers as Breat and Melanoma.

So as one may have already concluded from reading this article, Reservatrol in combination with some spices, or acting as a stand alone anticarcinogenic agent; can without a doubt help in the fight against cancer and other diseases that plague our society today. Drinking wine or consuming similar products and/or foods high in antioxidants as mentioned, is just one way to benefit from Reseratrol. Some people are also allergic or sensitive to the sulfites often found in red wines for example. If drinking wine is a problem for you and you want to avoid drinking alcohol altogether; than supplements are another alternative you have. Reservatrol supplements come in many different forms. They start out in doses from ten milligrams, to that of fifty milligrams or even higher.

Reservatrol is readily available to be purchased online or from your local health food provider. But before beginning any vitamin or supplement regimen, it is always essential to speak with your healthcare practitioner about your plan in starting on a natural supplement like Reservatrol. He or she may want to know how often and how much you intend to consume on a daily basis, in order to compensate for any dosage adjustments that may be required to make in conjunction; with any prescription drugs that you may already be taking. Supplements and vitamins can and will cause adverse reactions with prescription drugs from time to time and Reservatrol is not exempt from this list. Its always better to ask a few questions when in doubt.

With new research and more light now being shed on the topic of Reservatrol, it may only be a matter of time before Cancer, Melanoma, Heart Disease, Obesity and Aging become age old health concerns of the past. Perhaps now knowing, that there is more of a glimmer, in the way of light being shed at the end of the tunnel, in combatting diseases like cancer. With such good news on the horizon, we in turn should raise our goblets filled with antioxidant rich Reservatrol and pose a toast; not only to the future of good health, but also to that of all mankind.

Our own immune system is amazing, in that it protects us from invading cancer cells, like the one shown at center in this photo. Reservatrol on the other hand, may serve as an additonal combatant towards the fight against many forms of cancers.
