Symptoms and Treatment of Vaginal Leaking
What is Vaginal Leaking
Vaginal leaking is a very embarrassing issue to have, especially if you are around other people. It is not as uncommon as you may think. For some women it only occurs when they cough, sneeze, or even when laughing hard. For others it a continual issue and happens throughout the day for no particular reason.
It is normal for this to happen with sneezing, coughing, or laughing. A way to help if it's an issue throughout the day is to do kegel exercises. This is where you tighten your vagina and hold for 5 seconds. Do 20 of these at a time, 3 times a day. Also wear a pantyliner, if you do have any "accidents" it's easy to change. Powder also helps absorb moisture and odor.
It is easy to misdiagnose feminine issues. What a lot of women things of as vaginal leaking is actually leaking urine from the bladder. The cause of this is usually a bladder infection and is treated very easily with medication prescribed by your Doctor.
Vaginal Health
There are other vaginal issues that are symptoms of something more serious than vaginal leaking. Some of the things that it could be includes a yeast infection, taking birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, and bacterial infections. There is also an allergy to a product used on the genital area, or possibly a hormone imbalance caused by a medical condition.
If you notice any sort of strong scent, change in vaginal discharge, vaginal discomfort or itching, you should see a Doctor. These are all things that are not normal.
