Wake Up And Be Happy
Wake Up!
Wake up. It is getting light out. It's the miraculous of everything done every day and everything usually works out. Think about the gauntlet you run everyday? Wake up automatically at the exact same time every day. Hop in the shower, stand in water on a slippery surface, catch the news on the radio. The drive is a disaster averted. The acceleration to 60 only to see a wall of red brake lights emerge. Everyone trying to to get to work as fast as they possibly can. If we can shave off even a few seconds is bliss. RED BRAKE LIGHTS!
Work
Work. The 'good mornings' and friendly smiles and nods. Coffee and emails. Emails that pour in all day. The talkers and sneezers and laughers. Clean things up and start a task list for the next day. Drive home. RED BRAKE LIGHTS!
At Home
At home we read and write and speak and sing and dance and play. We push our minds and bodies. We have an itch inside us that yearns to move up and we feel at least a little bad when we do not. We are here to survive and evolve. The most danger we ever find ourselves in is when we put ourselves into a car or put something harmful into our bodies. We have sturdy homes that cool down in the summer and warm up in the winter. Grocery stores provide a buffet from batteries to bananas. We have clothes to keep us warm and sun screen to block the UV rays. When we are hurt we can go to the hospital to get fixed up.
Wake Up! And Be Happy For You!
We go about our business every day and none of us really knows how we got here or what is going on. If you are reading this it is likely that you don't have to look far to find others less fortunate. We all have our shit that we are shoveling around yet some of us are happy and some of us are not. People who are happy when they are unhappy fall into the happy category for the present analysis. The answer is to decide to be happy. Happiness is a state of mind that we work to foster everyday from the moment we wake up. When thoughts of sadness or dispair creep in to slow you down remind yourself that you are happy. Go outside and get some sun on your face, read, write and be happy that you are here.
