What is Ayurveda Therapy? Benefits of Ayurveda Therapy. Best Ayurveda centers in India

Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine, developed thousands of years ago in India. Ayurveda is a holistic form of medicine aimed at promoting overall health and prevent disease rather than to fight disease. However there are treatments for various health problems in Ayurveda. According to Ayurveda, good health depends on a balance between mind, body and spirit. Our mind and body must be in harmony with the universe. Every individual is made up of five basic elements viz, Space, Air, fire, Water and Earth- the same five elements that make up the universe. Any disruption in any of these elements can lead to poor health and sickness.

There are three Doshas or life energies which are combination of the above five elements. The three doshas are: Vata (Space+Air), Pitta (Fire+Water), Kapha (Water+earth). These doshas control different body functions. If there is any imbalance in the doshas, it’s an indicator of poor health. The individual constitution of a person’s body is called Prakriti. Prakriti shapes our bodies, minds and predilections.

Ayurveda helps remove free radicals from the body and ensures a healthy anti-oxidant level in the body which is necessary to fight various diseases such as Cancer, Cardiovascular disease etc. According to experts, Ayurveda can fight a variety of inflammatory, hormonal and autoimmune conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Asthma, Dementia, Dysmenorrhea, Parkinson’s disease etc
