Zero Allergy Pets

You will find that no matter how hard you try that it will be impossible for you to keep your home free from allergens. And a really interesting thing to me is that animal allergen exists in 100 percent of American homes. It is clothing that transfers the allergen. You will find that shopping malls , your children's schools , and even your doctors office is full of allergens. It is no wonder that 40 million Americans suffer from nasal related allergies. And the more allergen your around the worst off your allergies will be.

But if you can't bear the thoughts of a home with out a cat or dog you really should consider getting a black cat. For unknown reasons black cats have very low levels of allergen producing dander. But allergen is also found in your cats saliva , and urine so be sure to give your cat a simple water bath at least once a week. Its also very important to keep a perfect litter box and the self cleaning ones are preferred and will make a person with allergies life much easier. If you have allergies be sure to wear disposable gloves and a mask when you bathe your cat and do anything with its litter box. Remove your gloves and mask outside and put them in the garbage outside.

And even though its impossible to keep your home allergen free you should consider a HEPA Vacuum cleaner and HEPA air filters on your air conditioners and heating system. This will improve your allergen levels greatly in your home. And you and your black cat will be really good friends.

Portuguese Water Dogs are one of the best dogs for people with allergies.
Portuguese Water Dogs are one of the best dogs for people with allergies.

It should be noted that Portuguese Water Dogs are not allergy free they just shed much less dander than other breeds. If you are considering purchasing a Portuguese Water Dog for your family and someone in your family has allergies that person should visit the dog breeder and meet the Portuguese Water Dog you are thinking of purchasing.

Keep in mind that even with a Portuguese Water Dog you will want to make sure that your dog gets a bath at least once a week or more often if he or she gets dirty. And the dog must not be allowed into the bedroom of the person with allergies. Ideally your dog needs to go for walks with you and you really don't want your dog associating with other dogs especially if you have a highly allergic person in your house.

Have the person with the allergies spend about thirty minutes with the dog and see if they have an attack. If not then you should be fine with your Portuguese Water Dog purchase. But even when your Portuguese Water Dog or Black Cat comes home with you the pet should not go into the bedroom of the person with the allergies. And its very important that your homes surfaces stay perfectly clean. And keep in mind that HEPA filters will keep your homes allergen levels much lower.

To Keep Your Homes Allergen Levels Low You Need To

1. If you have a pet consider either a Black Cat or a Portuguese Water Dog. They are not allergen free but their dander levels are much lower.

2. Have HEPA filters installed in your homes heating and air conditioning system.

3. If you don't have a HEPA Vacuum Cleaner purchase one.

4. If you have a black cat use a self cleaning litter box.

5. Keep all surfaces in your home very clean.

6. Your pet should not go into the bedroom of the person with the allergies.

7. Your dog or cat should get a water bath at least once a week.

I hope some of the tips on this page helps someone with allergies and that if you want that a Black Cat or a Portuguese Water Dog that you get one soon and that everything works out great for you.
