I can only speak from my own experience and i find that once the temperatures become cooler, I tend to seek more creamy and sweet tastes. Like, I prefer creamy pasta dishes rather then fish with nice salad.
I agree that putting weight comes from being less motivated to exercise. When you exercise you tend to makes smarter meal choices. So if you keep on moving and eating right, there's no fair of adding on more weight. It's all in lifestyle.
