Gifts for Cat Ladies and Cat Men
Let Me Start By Introducing You to My Babies
To say I love cats would be an understatement. My friends and family have come to accept me as a cat lady with a serious case of O.C.D - "Obsessive Cat Disorder." I only have two cats, but let me say, they are the joys of my life. I'm not saying I want to end up an old lady with tons and tons of cats smelling of tuna and wet cat food or the cat lady from The Simpsons... I consider my obsession healthy and although I would love to have a lot of cats, I know that it is not realistic or a smart idea. The important idea here is that I do genuinely love everything about cats and wouldn't be able to live without them. My room is covered with pictures of my cats and cat decorations all around, including a little statue of two cats kissing and cat decals upon the walls.
I like to think that I am easy to buy for when it comes to holidays and birthdays; I'd be happy with anything cat-related. So for those cat lovers in your life, here's some creative gifts that can certainly be considered "the cat's meow."
Jingle Cats - For All Your Caroling Needs
The Jingle Cats CD's are a great gift! I'd like to think of this as more of a gag gift. Let's face it, even I, extreme cat lover, can only deal with Christmas carols sung completely in "meows" for so long, but the first listen of every song is a riot. The Jingle Cats website seems to be down, but you can buy the CD from Amazon and a few seller's on Ebay have listed the item as well. You can sample song of the songs on youtube.com. I purchased their album "Here Comes Santa Claws" last week and on that there are many songs including "The Chipmunk Song" and "O Holy Night."
Catopoly
Here's a gifts that combines two fantastic things - cats and board games! Catopoly is a super cute board game obviously the style on Monopoly. Instead of property, the squares are different cat breeds. Even the player pawn pieces are cats. Kids to adults cat people will surely love this game!
Customized Cat Gifts
My absolute favorite website to order custom items is cafepress.com. I recommend Cafe Press to everyone. They have all kinds of items ranging from t-shirts to mousepads to aprons to pajamas to beer steins to backpacks. Their possibilities are really endless. Easy to use, the site offers a search bar to type in any topic you'd like. If you find a design you like, you can take that design and pretty much place it on item you wish.
Not only is their selection great, but their custom service is phenomenal. I have ordered from them before and had to exchange something because it didn't fit right. Not only did they send me a different size, I was able to keep the original, AND they didn't charge me for the new item. They're an amazing company to work with.
If you can't find what you like, you can customize an item completely from scratch. The tool to do that is very user friendly.
The best way to find something on here is to just putz around the website, but here are a couple of cat lover items from Cafe Press:
Purrrfect Gifts
I think with customized gifts you have really hit the jackpot. Not only can you make your item say whatever you want, you also have a wide selection of items if using a site like Cafe Press. Customized gifts also come from the heart, they take time to create and/or pick out, and it lets the person know that you were thinking outside of the box to get them something special.
I wish everyone well on their search for the purrrrfect cat gifts. Be creative and you may surprise yourself with what you find!
