DIY Gift Ideas for Your Significant Other on Valentines Day
Create a Love Book
This gift is very easy and very cute, it really shows how much you appreciate your significant other. Start by printing off some of your most favourite pictures of each other or pictures together, or if you are handy with drawing or painting, create your own pictures. There are many ways you can outline this love book. For instance, your book can just be a simple scrapbook of your time you have shared together. Another option is creating a book entitled, "50 Reasons Why I Love You," and each page could be a different reason why you love your significant other. If you are doing the many different reasons why you love your boyfriend or girlfriend there are two ways you can do it. You can do it by hand in a similar way you would do a scrapbook, or you can do it online.
The website http://www.lovebookonline.com/ allows you to customize and create your own book in paperback or hard cover, it is not very expensive and I can say it turns out great as I have done one before. It is a trustworthy website and is done very quickly.
Love Coupons!
This is such a simple and inexpensive gift! Customize your own coupons to give to your significant other that you know they will love. Try to create the coupons about things you know they love receiving from you but do not get to have them often. If you are one of those people that is addicted to their cell phone, you could create a coupon to give to your boyfriend or girlfriend that says, "5 hours of me without my phone."
Other great coupon ideas are:
- One free massage.
- A dinner and movie.
- Breakfast in bed.
- One full day of cuddling.
- One free house clean.
- Free spa day.
- Free shopping day.
- Free kiss.
- Your wish is my command.
There are endless possibilities for coupons. You could even make yours witty by writing, "You win one fight." Or to spice things up, make some sexual coupons for your significant other.
Send Your Partner on a Scavenger Hunt
This is a very cliché but cute, AND cheap way to show your partner your love for them on Valentines day. Create an entire scavenger hunt filled with different clues to different places for your loved one with something special on the end. You could keep it small and make the hunt within your own home, or you could send your partner out around the town. The end result could be anything! Let your creative self figure it out. You could have your girlfriend end up in the bathroom with an all ready made up bubble bath with candles. You could send them out around the town and have the end result be their favourite restaurant with you waiting there for them. There are so many different ways this idea could be used!
Romantic Dinner for Two
Maybe you and your partner are not into the whole gift giving thing, no problem! Why not have a beautiful, romantic, candle dinner set up for your significant other with their favourite meal. Sometimes creating this romantic dinner yourself is better than going to a fancy restaurant full of other people. This is a little more quiet and private. Don't forget the wine and roses!
A creative Card
Print off a map of a place that is significant to you and your partner, such as the place where you met, your favourite place to visit together, or even your favourite restaurant. Once you have it printed, cut the map into a heart and past it onto cardboard. This is a simple, creative, and cute way to show your significant other that you care and pay attention to small things, like your favourite place to visit together. This is also more sentimental than just buying a card from the closest grocery store!
Create a Collage
Create a photo collage of your favourite pictures together, and leave some white space around the collage to write in your favourite love lyrics, quotes, poems, or even a romantic message. This is a very sentimental gift and it is very easily done. If you want to keep your expenses low, you can purchase a nice frame from a dollar store to complete your collage for your loved one. If you are using lyrics, try to take them from songs that are your partner's favourite songs, or from your partners favourite band!
Movie Date Package
Grab a shoe box or basket and begin to fill it with the perfect items for a movie night! Grab a romantic movie, some popcorn, soda or maybe some champagne instead, your partners favourite candy or chocolate, and other essentials needed to have the perfect movie night. Maybe throw in one of the free cuddle coupons in the box!
Create a Gift Dice
Grab some cardboard and take and follow the instructions above to have a cut out dice. But of course you are not just going to leave it blank! On each side of the dice you can write cute messages or wishes to your partner. Other ideas for the dice is having each side be similar to the love coupons. For example one side of the dice could say, "Free Massage."
Another idea for the dice, if you want to spice things up, could be different sex positions. If your partner has a sense of humour, I am sure they would find this gift very witty!
Another idea for the dice is to create two dice. On one dice write different ideas such as, "Let's Kiss," "Lets Hug," "Lets Cuddle," etc. On the other dice put different place that you can do the things that are written on the first dice.
Happy Valentines Day!
I hope that these ideas have been helpful for you to have the perfect inexpensive but sentimental gift for your partner on Valentines day. If you do not use them all, I hope that the article has at least made you choose one to do! Have a good and romantic Valentines day with your significant other!
