6 Ideas for a Gorgeous Twilight Party Cake

The Twilight Saga continues with the release of Eclipse, the third movie in the series. Bella, Edward and Jacob continue their story as Bella faces a big decision.  Lots of people will be hosting Twilight Eclipse release parties,  so I've collected a great selection of Twilight party cakes to show you.

Get ready to see some gorgeous cake designs, and maybe one of them will inspire you to host your own Twilight party!

Using inspiration from the book covers, these three cakes incorporate one or all four books into a cake design

Modeled after the cover of the fourth book, the first chessboard cake shown seems the easiest design to make at home yourself. I t appears to have been created with black decorator icing, which is available in grocery stores. An artificial tulip, small red apple and two chess pieces complete the look.

All the other chessboard cakes appear to use fondant icing, which is a smooth product that can be rolled out and cut into shapes. The decorations include items from the cover of the books: a red apple, ruffled tulip, torn red ribbon, and chess pieces.

Fans of the books will know that Jacob belongs to a werewolf pack, and he also loves Bella. When Edward leaves the town of Forks, Jacob becomes much closer to Bella and competes for her love. Fans who think Bella should choose him over Edward belong to "Team Jacob."

Robert Pattinson has done a terrific job portraying the vampire Edward, who falls in love with the human Bella. Fans who want Bella to choose Edward as her true love (instead of Jacob) are members of Team Edward.

One of Edward's famous quotes from the first book is when he tells Bella he loves her by saying "and so the lion fell in love with the lamb." This first cake uses the quote and two adorable cupcakes decorated as a lion and a lamb.

This funny design brings some humor to the cake design. In the movie, Edward prompts Bella to say the word "vampire", and admit to herself what he really is.

This first design with three layers and green stripes uses the design of Bella's birthday cake in the New Moon movie.

The rest of these cakes are just amazing! Many of them were obviously made by professional bakers, but they provide lots of details that a home cook can use and copy on a smaller scale.
